I was the same. Created an account when I bought a 720S last year.

Have owned a 570s for 2 years and its been a great experience, only issues I have had are leaking front shocks and some corrosion on the front wings.

I borrowed a 540 for the day and would say that you can definitely notice a difference, its largely the same but definitely dialled down a touch. Its not only paint finishes and brakes, there definitely is a feeling of its slightly less.

I'd definitely hang out for a 570 if you can.

Festive pic of mine when I was putting the xmas lights up.

I've had my 570s for 3.5 years from new. Stretch to the 570s if you can, you won't regret it one bit.

I had a 12c previously and did 10k in a 570GT. The 570s is markedly different car, the sound, the throttle response, the CC brakes so I assume similar differences to the 540c too.......

The dial goes up another few notches with the 600LT too............

All great cars though!!

Budget was flexible and the spider has really grown on me so man maths meant I put a £99k offer in on this earlier

https://leeds.mclaren.com/en/pre-owned/2018-mclare...

Not willing to go any higher as 2 owner and the first was the dealer (demo) and due a service in April. It’s a SOR car so hopefully the seller is on here and we can cut out the middle man.

Offer was rejected initially but I am not in a rush at all so interested to see if it sells or starts to come down so will watch it.

Thanks for the responses all. Hopefully have a 570s sorted.

Just need to arrange to go and see it and all being well collect it. Typically we are at opposite ends of the country but hopefully will be able to sort over the next week or so.

Higher mileage and more owners that I initially wanted but hopefully at a price I wont take a complete bath come re-sell time. Within the ~£85k initial max budget can factor in getting the warranty extended to August 2022 and pay for next service when its due in the summer. So all warranty and service costs will be covered until mid 2022.

Also being slightly higher mileage should mean the major bugs worked out. Noted allot seem to do less that 1500 miles a year (that's allot of sitting about). 3 options it doesn't have that I ideally wanted are reverse camera, BW and soft close doors. But does have a track pack (not that I will be tracking it) so should help retain a bit more future value than a standard car with the above 3 options.

I had soft close fitted to my 650 for £1,100 - so it's not all that expensive to add if you want it.
I don't have reverse camera, but did when I had a 540 for a few weeks. Don't miss it

I use my reverse camera quite a bit, but more so the sensors.

I'd also say mileage is good, if or when I swap my 540C for another McLaren, I'll deliberately look for a used one as like you said, the niggles should be ironed out.

Congrats though, which colour have you gone for?

Thanks yes I will see how annoyed I get having to slam the doors. I was the same in my exige learned to live without one but handy at times.

Volcano yellow - hopefully it comes off - getting there is even more of a PITA with the new restrictions etc. Car trailering quotes coming back mentally high. Looks like everyone is getting their cars shipped around currently.

I never really found the doors a problem. My g/f seemed unable to close them properly though, and was of the opinion that the solution to that was for me to open and close the door as she got in / out of the car.

I paid for soft close instead!

If its the volcano one up this way, it looks like an absolute corker; best 570 for sale currently imo.

My mac had the reverse camera, but genuinely cannot remember referring to it...as Justin says I used the sensors.

I was quoted £450 to bring a mini convertible for my daughter up from south of London...don't suppose you fancy bringing that up and driving the Mac back down...laugh

If it's the one in Scotland, I think the owner is on here? Pretty sure I recall a post from someone saying they're selling their yellow 570s.

I wanted slow close but the 540 I bought doesn't have it but the doors close fine without needing to slam and that was with one that was slightly misaligned too. I've never felt the need or justification to spend a grand or so to get it now. I have the security pack so camera, alarm, sensors and lift but rarely use the camera and the sensor beeps particularly rears are too quiet even with the stereo turned down so I generally rely on my eyes! The one thing I couldn't live without is the lift.
