Fair to say Harry liked it.Watch a lot of his reviews; cannot recall him smiling as much or being as enthusiastic about a car previous to this.
Looking forward to the spider.

I can’t remember Harry enjoying driving any car as much as the Artura for a very long time.Watch a lot of his reviews; cannot recall him smiling as much or being as enthusiastic about a car previous to this.

And preferred it to the way more expensive Ferrari, mind you Chris Harris said the 720s was his go to choice for a supercar, anyone who owns a Mclaren knows how great they are to drive, but the bad press really does hurt them. Lets hope the Artura goes some way to repairing those damages.

Interesting watch yesterday of Chris Harris first drive of 296- summary was it was head and shoulders above all of its competition. Harry always appears to have a positive bias imo with regards British built cars compared to other reviewers. Wheelspinning said:

He didnt say it was better, just preferred it and as Reece says, are available to buy, CH was also very complementary of his review of the Artura.
Be interesting to see when the hybrid 720s comes out, i imagine that will have 296 hp but with less weight.
What I heard was that Harry prefers the actual driving experience of the Artura over the 296, even taking cost out of it.
I think another factor beyond national allegiance may be that Harry is 'old school' in as far as his formative motoring experiences seem to have been with Lotus Elans (the original), and has grown up with 80s and 90s performance cars.
Personally comparing a 570S with an Alpine A110, I massively prefer the slower, weightier steering of the McLaren, and the feel (even if it brings more feedback) of the steering. I also like the heavy brake pedal. To me, coming from a string of older HPAS cars, the McLaren just feels natural where the light, quick Alpine steering just completely threw me.
I understand that light, quick EPAS is the Ferrari way also, if so then I can imagine that tipping Harry over to prefering the Artura as a thing to drive, he did comment on steering and brake feel as being key to his enjoyment.

Yet even Chris said he would take the Artura over the 296.LotusJas said:

Look, I’m not wanting to argue about it…. Just fresh from watching the video and remembered Chris Harris saying, ‘where are you Mclaren, because you are a long way behind (the 296)? His words, not mine. Anyway, the Artura looks good value with its new warranty/service package- hopefully it’s a great success for the company. Still no want for either it or the 296 for me; nothing is tempting me to trade in any of the back catalogue.Enjoyed Harry's video last night. I live a few miles from Harry and regularly drive his favorite testing roads.
Have to say I really like the Artura and would choose it over the 296. Having said that though I'd still buy a 720S or 600LT before either of them.
I don't think I'm quite ready for hybrids just yet.
