Stick. You said that every drive is still an event so why change?
itchy feet, but as I said I would need to find a big chuck of cash to get something noticeably better.

It’s not you.

It’s not NJ66VAM, is it? That has history.

Can’t see a 675 on their website?

the issue is there is nothing to replace it with other than a 720/488, each drive is an event still
I thought the same as you, but fancied a change and whilst i couldnt get into 720s money just yet i went sideways and bought an amg gtr, fantastic fun car, maybe not as pin sharp and poised as the 570s, but performance is broadly similar and a soundtrack a Mclaren would die for. I dont regret it at all until the 720s comes into view or something else takes my fancy, too many cars to try out.

A few months ago I decided a 650 spider would be the next car I would buy and wanted to keep an eye on the market so set up an alert to notify me of suitable ones coming on to the market.

This thread has prompted me to have look on the usual sites and I’ve just seen that I have only opted for 2016 year cars and can’t remember if there was some sort of improvement for 2016 I wanted or if I just made an error?

Are 2016 cars more desirable for some reason other than just being a bit newer?

Is that a mistake ? Swear I saw that advertised for £235k recently.
Cant imagine someone is so desperate to sell they would throw away £45k

Don't think there were any changes? There were enough 12C to 650s to keep it relevant. Good write up on PH here:-

And for 675LT more here:-

Was £264,500 in early 2023. Link below to why...

Wow...just wow.

I seen that advertised and had to double take at the price as its a fantastic spec.

That car and numberplate should have its own thread so nobody falls into that trap.

What an utter disgrace; why are McLaren not getting involved?

On thread topic, the 650 is an epic car; even throwing another £80k onto your trade price barely gets you into something that can almost lace its boots.

I would 'stick'.

So what was the damage on that 675LT?

Was it written off, if not what Category, if any?
Damaged on a track abroad apparently, by the owners friend.

If repaired without a claim then it has a clean title, and now reliant on threads like this to raise awareness.

McLaren panels joints can be a bit iffy, but how this makes it into a showroom is beyond me.

Presumably that was the best they could get it to look otherwise no one would present it like that surely.
Obviously a very shoddy repair and other than a cheap track hack who is going to buy it like that. Maybe they should get that Tamarish bloke on you tube to rebuild it.
Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole no matter what the price, well ok maybe if it was £80k I'd take a punt and live with it

So its fine to buy Schmees smashed up Senna, but not this......does anyone actually have the details or the facts of the damage and the relevant repairs and where they were carried out or are you all just speculating?

Whilst this isn't a damaged car, it does show that some dealers clearly don't think straight. This photo is from a current advert, why would you present a car like this.

Thanks for these. I’ve done a fair bit of reading and Thorney isn’t too far from me so I’ve been to see them and a few 650s they had in stock at the time. If I end up finding out why I seemed intent on a 2016 car I’ll post my findings.

Yeah that's a fair point but at least the Senna has been repaired back to it's original condition, that dropped door on the 675 is just ridiculous.
