When you dropped it off was he aventador Sv there? That was nice! They have quite a few 720s in dont they! I was blown away with that 600lt if I’m honest I thought it was stunning and seemed special!
He reckoned the upcoming 720lt variant will be amazing (2yrs off)
Yes, it was the guys from Noise Automotive's Aventador. He reckoned the upcoming 720lt variant will be amazing (2yrs off)
Some more stock cars were delivered whilst I was there, including a white 720S.
I like the 600LT too. Apart from it being highly unlikely I would get one I can't see what I would use it for though.

I've re read my comments above and whilst I stand by them please don't think the car wasn't anything but good. At this level it's like comparing one malt whisky against another. They all start at great and work their way up.
I also think many of the negatives I've stated are probably intrinsic to 'progress'. A 458 is easier to live with than a 355 which is easier to live with than anything that came before and that 'progression' continues on. I just wonder when it's gone too far? The more it continues the more that supercars may become too "every day" and too easy to live with, drive and own such that they become mainstream.
Dunno. It's a funny time in car land. "Better' has been interpreted as more power, faster, better handling and automation whereas in reality, for cars like these, "better' should simply be interpreted as "more fun".
Says a lot that this is the first year I haven't bought a car in many years. I can't see anything new that I fancy.
Agree totally with the FUN element. More speed from todays supercar baseline is pointless IMHO unless its an outright track car.I also think many of the negatives I've stated are probably intrinsic to 'progress'. Main reason I chose a more expensive old model 675LT over a cheaper newer model 720S

It sounded lovely as he was leaving! As for what would ou use it for blatting up and down the countryside or trackdays! It just seemed so much nicer than the 570 that was also in the showroom! Some more stock cars were delivered whilst I was there, including a white 720S.

They had a lovely 720 in the wash bay and a nice volcano 12c up on the ramps! Crazy to think they will get the new place built in the next 18 month

I'm a car fan, I like anything that isn't a boring box. I do however, as you rightly say, have preferences but it's important to point out that whilst I may not like the looks of the sports series front end, I've never said they're bad cars, just that they weren't the be all and end all. Astons, Maserati, Lambos, Ferraris, McLaren's etc- lets face it, they're all great cars. It's simply personal preference that dictates which we each own.
I could already list 2 things I much prefer about my Ferraris to this 570S but I could already list 2 things I prefer about the McLaren to the Ferraris. TBH I could list a few things I prefer about my Porsche to both of those too. Nothing is perfect.
I'll wait till I've had it a few more days before I comment.
I think you have to spend some time with the car. I was indifferent about it when released. But the more I looked at it, the cooler it became. Then I drove one...... Now that it's in my garage, every time I look at it, I see more details. It is definitely a work of art.
