I’ve had an invite to go view the car in the flesh 25-26th of April, from McLaren Leeds, so it looks like it’s imminent

I live two miles away from the MTC and have just seen a light green Artura being driven locally. It was on a '21' plate. I presume this is a demonstrator?
Looks amazing in the flesh, really quite small and well proportioned.
The one I saw on the road looked amazing as well. A lot of presence for a small car.

Likewise, I saw one of this slipping through Woking the other day. When I saw the photo's I was underwhelmed, but in the flesh it looks surprisingly fresh and slinky, a very nice evolution of the design theme they have established.

Very nice.

There was one floating about at Oulton last weekend, coincidentally parked next to an Emira

Now, here's a question - which one looks better?

Car furthest away for me.

The emira seems big (for a lotus).

I think they are both very attractive, desirable sports cars.

My opinion that the Lotus does not look at all out of place next to the much more expensive (double the price?) McLaren is either great news for the Lotus or a bit embarrassing for the McLaren.

Obviously the McLaren will be in a different league performance-wise.

Like the McLaren, that Lotus does pretty much nothing for me (looks or weight or engine spec).

Edit: to clarify I like the McLaren .... ambiguous wording

Agreed, looks bulky, not unattractive but big, much more Evora esque than Elise/Exige

….and I thought we are here for performance and how the car drives. Lots of even cheaper nice looking cars available.

Besides I’m sure a couple of tweaks and color changes would make a big difference.

It's not a picture which is designed to sell the Artura, is it?

I have now looked at this a few times and although I could easily look up which one is which, the point is that I couldn't without doing so.

There was one of these at a charity function I was at last weekend.

Didn't look all that in the flesh, I much prefer the look of the 570s / 600LT.

I sat in the Artura display car at Blenheim last year, definitely compact and Elise s1 like to get in and out of.

We recently acquired an Elise S1 and getting in/out is truly horrific and (i am 5'10 and 13 stone, in reasonable shape)

Earlier this year I sat in Artura which had the clubsport seats and found with the new carbon tub ingress/egress is much easier and I had recently torn my meniscus! I found it to be one of the easier McLaren to enter if I am honest

Autocar's Matt Saunders drives one of the pre-production cars at the recent launch in Spain. It's a bit wordy, but gives a reasonable impression of an early car. Keep watching for the information given at the end of the video about the adventures of some of the other launch cars.
