Always deals to be done on a spider in winter.
Remember negotiating hard on a keenly priced £156k car and bought it at £140k.
Sold it 8 months later back to same dealer at £141k

How do you even go about that? Did they pester you or did you just low ball them?

Nor do the seats.....thats just as spec related as the rest i mention, last year there was a base spec white 570s at McNF, but had P1 seats, it took months to sell.
I boughtht my 570s to drive, did plenty of tracks days and miles, but i still wanted the best spec for my budget and come resale time it paid off, sold within 2/3 weeks at the worst time of year. I think the only Mclaren owners who say they dont want overpriced carbon are the ones who dont have it. I get it if your ordering from new, but in the 2nd market hand its noticeable, high spec/good colours are always at the top of the market and sell.
Depends on the car imo. 570 is more of a tourer so P1 seats are probably less desirable. On a LT seats are more important.I boughtht my 570s to drive, did plenty of tracks days and miles, but i still wanted the best spec for my budget and come resale time it paid off, sold within 2/3 weeks at the worst time of year. Congrats - I was also looking at that car and wish I had acted. Spider with exterior carbon packs 1, 2, 3 rare!
Cheers. Its been a long wait but finally get to pick it up on saturday as long as the wheel company get the colour changed in timeAlso has the MSO tonneau in carbon. Only thing it didn't have that i really wanted was the bowers and wilkins stereo upgrade but i don't think ill be needing the radio!!!! Looking forward to doing some trips next year and meeting some fellow owners .
Tbh I'm a little sceptical on the value of the B&W, I have it (12 speaker) on my 570GT and even with that car's slightly better sound insulation, I'm not convinced by it. It sounds great... when I'm sat on my drive with the engine off, otherwise the general road noise etc makes the overall experience pretty meh.
So in an LT, I personally wouldn't feel you're missing much.

I really rate the B&W stereo in my LT, as such having experienced the basic stereo also, am very glad I have it as it makes long motorway trips nicer just been able to have a decent stereo. So in an LT, I personally wouldn't feel you're missing much.
Otherwise agreed, roof or window down in a 600 LT no stereo is required.

I presume its a similar or same system as the 720S Spider in which case whilst better than the basic system I didn't think it was great compared with Burmeister, Meridian and Harmon Kardon systems I have in other carsOtherwise agreed, roof or window down in a 600 LT no stereo is required.
You tend to find if an owner doesn't have the upgraded sound system, it's deemed as perfect and not an issue or important.
If an owner does have the upgraded sound system, it's inconceivable to not have the upgraded system and very important.
I have had Macs with upgraded and standard; personally, I not convinced one way or another.
All of the sound systems are more than adequate, so it wouldn't be a factor in my 'must have' list.
I usually have the roof down or if raining the rear window down, and never had any issue with the performance from the sound system, standard or upgraded.

I always spec the upgraded system which has a really good sound. I do have a gripe though, for a 12 speaker system it's just too quiet. If an owner does have the upgraded sound system, it's inconceivable to not have the upgraded system and very important.

If I'm on a euro trip and cruising at 90 (84!) with the roof down it just isn't loud enough. If I want to listen to an audio book or something it doesn't have the oomph. I maybe asking too much, those conditions might be extreme but it would be nice to get a little more top end.

Sure that was up for £145k previously as remember commenting it was spider money. Owner is obviously desperate to sellStu-nph26 said:
