Me too! Had a 981 Spyder and 675LT together. Both great cars but 675LT on another level with performance and handling. Loved the 981 Spyder though but not as much as my Exige 430CUP, one of the 3 had to go (due to space) and it was the 981 Spyder.

Drove a 600LT back to back with my 675LT recently. It was an odd experience as on paper so much is the same and the similarities are clear but the 600LT felt like a diluted version of the 675LT. The 675LT was definitely quicker, especially at the top end. The 600LT was still a very, very good car but personally I have never got on with the appearance of the 570 / 600, that is 100% subjective and personal though.

Regarding the corrosion issues the P11 cars (12C/650S/675LT) suffer from delamination of composite layers on the edges of the front wings and bonnet. Most cars have now had replacement panels and the problem does not seem to recur. The sports series cars are aluminium and suffer from traditional aluminium corrosion, much like Ferrari's do. This can recur when replaced and that leads to frustration. I must say if I owned a 570 / 600 I would not bother with McLaren and just take it to an approved body shop myself and get the panels rubbed down, repaired, properly primed and repainted rather than get new panel from McLaren where the issue could surface again. The good prices of 570S would probably allow for a full respray in a non McLaren colour. Unless McLaren release paint codes i expect this would be a good option as matching the colours are difficult. McLaren colours depend on all 3 layers, the primer, top coat and lacquer all contribute to the final colour which is why they are so difficult to match, or so I have been told.

I had my nose cone done on my 570s (mso defined colour) because the previous owner had put a number plate bracket on with self taping screws, my well trusted local bodyshop had it in their system no problem, it seems very much dependant on who you go to with regards to codes and what system they use to mix, the match was also perfect, as with the work done on replacement/repaired panels at the Mclaren approved bodyshop.

I am sure some of the paints would be a nightmare to match though.

Must have been a McLaren approved body shop? No other body shop would have the paint in their system.

Went from a 718 GT4 to a 675LT & never looked back. 675 is on a totally different level in comparison.

Went from the 675 to a Ferrari 458 which again is so different. Now looking to try a 720s however I wouldn’t part from the 458 for it. Thankfully I have 2 garages lol.
