Over the weekend, a Brit - who I am sure many will know on here - has bought himself a red McLaren F1. Possibly the ex-Andretti model (#28?)

It was revealed on Twitter and by DK Engineering, who I imagine acquired it for the new buyer. https://twitter.com/DK_Engineering/status/45532965...

Lovely to have another F1 in the UK, should certainly increase the chances of one being spotted on British roads.

Wonder what it went for? Road-going F1s are modern day 250 GTOs and their values are only going one way at the moment. Imagine it could have been north of £4m.

Personally not a fan of red as a colour for an F1, although I wouldn't turn one down!

The Zonda is for sale with DK. They certainly have a stellar stocklist at the moment

News articles say he had two and that there were over 100 F1s produced, are these right?

(also refers to the F1 as £627k - bargain!)
There were more than 100 produced, but just (I think)the 64 road cars. A number of the track cars have been converted to road use since then.
