I think it all depends on who the 'current' stig is.
IFAIK the stig isn't always the same driver and Top Gear use whoever is available on the day.
It had to be JB as the stig last-night in the 675LT, so how much can be attributed to the car and the driver?

This makes me angry beyond words, oh, hang on, I have some.
Bloody typical, the car does good so it's not the car, it's the driver.
Bloody morons, these drivers are all withinn a 10th of each other, professional racing drivers, they won't just stick in any old driver. I suspect they test them with the same car to ensure consistencey.
Talk about glass half empty, pessimistic claptrap, am I biased? No, this is exactly what I expected, do I know this to be the case? I race, yes, it is the case.
Stone, look, it's over there. Enough room to crawl under it.
Rant over.

By the time they got to the grid all the cars would be nothing like any customer car!
The 675 is clearly a bloody quick car but some of the claims made about it from owners have been ludicrous. It's funny seeing how much emphasis people put on the top gear time as it's set on different days with different drivers and in a lot of cases very different tyres (I'm looking at the huayra here with it's special slicks )
