As it says on the tin what are people's views on the 2 cars - GT versus S ?

I like a sporty/racier car to a GT cruiser as a rule but somehow prefer the more traditional look of the GT to the S.
The rear window and C pillar treatment of the GT car looks prettier IMHO. Is that the general consensus ?

I think the 570S will definitely lend itself to the spider format though and no doubt that will be revealed in Geneva. ( but I already have the 650S spider for that )

At the moment I'm thinking a 570GT with a MSO race exhaust and Track pack would be a perfect car for me but sadly such a thing doesn't exist, YET.

Maybe I could ask the question ?

What's others thoughts on the 2 cars and which one would you choose if a bespoke MSO car was not an option - 570S or 570GT, you decide

They both look stunning to me, as you know I have an 570S and prefer the S over the GT, however I would love them to make a GTS which would be the best of both worlds and I'd have one of those in a heart beat.
Yeah GTS sounds good. I want the "S"portiness in the GT package

The GT is 45 kg heavier than the 570S, a lot of that weight is in the wrong place i.e. the glass roof, which accounts for a lot of this weight gain in in the wrong place high up effecting the centre of gravity.

However I just love them both, which ever you choose is the right thing for you so just enjoy, the fact that you have bought the sports car bargin of the last year is an added bonus. Pics when you get them please
Who said anything about buying one ?
TP321 said I had burnt my fingers so badly on the 650S spider I had learnt my lesson and would NEVER buy another McLaren let alone an additional one rofl

Anyway its a nice idea but 2 McLarens on the driveway of my council house is a bit risky

I wouldn't buy either however as I have a 12C.
I thought your 12C was a spider ? I have a 650S spider but I'm looking at a coupe in addition. I refuse to pay the huge premiums for 675LT and 458 Speciale currently so this is a stop gap car so I can keep the 650S spider just for sunny days but still have another useable supercar

Be interesting to see what mclaren announce at Geneva - I believe 570s Spider and the anticipated P14 (720s?) will be announced?
That's correct. 2 more really exciting cars to look forward to from McLaren

There is a GT-S coming, not exactly sure when, or if it'll take the form of an option pack or a separate model (i'm guessing the former) but it'll be just as described. The S chassis in the GT body. So yes it will only be 99% as quick and won't handle as deftly as the S with the extra roof weight up high, but could well be the perfect car.
Mmmmm interesting. I'm in conversations with a dealer right now and that's not been mentioned even when I said I preferred a sportier GT model. Adding a track pack and titanium exhaust via MSO was discussed but not specifically a future GTS version.
I will have to quiz them further but it might be that they want to sell me something now and not 12 months down the line.

Have you got it from a good source and any idea on ETA ? Too late for Geneva surely

Sounds like my suggestion of adding a track pack and Titanium exhaust may have got back to the factory quicker than I thought then as that has the makings of an "S" pack option for the GT model rofl

I'm quite liking the look of this at the moment :

If only it had the superlight diamond cuts wheels of this though :

I'm also warming to black in general as that swan wing thing down the side seems to blend in better.

Of the 2 cars what's others thoughts ?

It does look lovely. Just not sure of an orange interior on a blue car.
I know what you mean. Its a stark contrast and very bold but kind of works with the calipers. It does liven it up and I guess only blue or light grey alcantara maybe would tie in with car
