Do any PHers have their 720S yet?

Ahoyhoy,
Yes, Glacier White Lux launch car. Arrived a fair while ago at Ascot but PDI and a silly schedule my end have meant having to grab it Friday. Saw Woppum last night with his Saros Lux car; they really are king of the road. So much presence. If anyone is on the fence about getting one, go for a test drive ASAP! Bonkers breadth of ability.
Must have been a right ball ache having to trundle around in that GT3 RS until you could pick it up.. Yes, Glacier White Lux launch car. Thanks to Tom and Woppum for sharing their ownership experiences in this thread. I'm not much of a McLaren fan if I'm honest but the 720s is a fascinating car and I'm looking forward to seeing one in the metal as it were.
Guys, what's the reaction to it like when you're out and about? It's such a bold design it must get a hell of a lot of attention?

I wasn't worried. But thanks for pre-empting & alleviating any fears I may have had about your upcoming garage line-up.
Maybe I could post it on my YouTube channel and then tell everyone I'm going to wrap it and put an after market exhaust on it ??woppum said:

Clearly to make as much money as you can by making rank average videos of every car you buy, wrap and add an exhaust all FOC for the publicity.
Fair play to you if that's your thing but I find everyone taking selfies annoying enough without a whole TV channel promoting yourself and apparent wealth but lack of talent as you openly admit you are rubbish
Whatever makes you happy but at least be a bit creative and come up with something different than the usual drivel.
SOL, STG Mr JWW, Seb Delaney, Archie Hamilton etc.... All the bl00dy same, the only one worth watching is your best mate Shmee 150. At least his videos are professional, interesting and informative

Mine was £248,100 Lux car, which is where I believe they started the Launch cars at. That rises to circa £290k for the ironically named 'Performance' ones.
I will be selling mine soon, and has Topaz ppf to boot, again something Redline car doesn't have.

Live and let live. Who cares what anybody does with their money OR their cars.
If I were in Toms position and could get into 4 of the latest supercars, albeit briefly due to releases/deliveries being close together then I'd do it and wouldn't be overly concerned at being labelled a "flipper".

I am not going to come on here and tell people what they can or cannot do with their own cars, but it does make me sad when those with the means treat very special cars like these as almost disposable items. With the best will in the world, you cannot bond or really get to know the car in a few short weeks whilst driving it around London at an average of 8mph.
I still own my very first car which I bought in 1978, I love driving it and I love working on it, its a part of me and it will never be sold. My 13-year-old is expecting to inherit it on passing his driving test and he probably will.
Now my case is a little extream, but if I was able to get a 720 I suspect it would be with the view that it would be for the long term, it's a car I suspect would reveal itself more and more the better you got to know it.
Each to their own. What an individual wants from car ownership is entirely up to them. If you have the means of getting into the latest cars and want to experience them all then that's entirely your prerogative.
This thread isn't about "flipping" or personal attacks on owners that are willing to share their ownership experiences although as seems to be the way with pistonheads has been ruined by just that.

Depending on how I find the AVS to live with, I'm actually considering binning the Performante and keeping the AVS until the 812 arrives. Controversial I know. The Aventador definitely is one of the poster cars of our time; class or no class. And despite the sort of people that may drive them... Performante I probably wouldn't track, often, and I think that's where I would see most benefit and difference from my previous Huracan, and my bro's current one. Just may not be enough of a difference to warrant spending £250k on one.
Someone talk some sense into me, or encourage me further. Spec is locked on the Performante btw and delivery due December- is that Pebble Beach green/bronze combo, which I think is DIVINE. Dull video on my Youtube channel talking through it.
720S unquestionably is a leap forward, and I am definitely going to miss it. Just not in a position to keep it as discussed, nor will I be that heartbroken about getting rid when whacking through the gears in that silly V12, with flames coming from it, outside Harrods. Lols. Totally get why Woppum you love your 720s so much, with your line up it sits perfectly. I think the LT version will allay any gripes anyone may have had, but until then I'm off back to the Italians.

Can't believe you would bin the Performante in favour of an AVS. When I ordered mine the local Lambo dealer said they had a number of cancelled AVS orders who haven driven it now wanted the Performante instead.
If your order is now locked in your dealer will probably hold you to it and you will have to FLIP it for a profit which will be interesting considering your oddball spec.
No question the 720S is an awesome car but my 2 reservations with it are looks and sound.
As fast and as capable as it is the HYPERcar looks are a bit wacky for me and a turbo car will never sound as good as a N/A V8 or V10 hence why I have 2 Italians lined up before returning to another Mclaren

I've seen a very similarly specced performante to Toms (only pics admittedly) and the colour looks stunning.
What sort of spec have you gone for on yours RL?
