I couldn't find a good answer to this anywhere (well apart from to use Michelin's which are apparently slightly bigger and will rub the liners) so I thought I'd ask and see if anyone has any experience. I get the choice between PZeros and Corsa tyres on the 720S. Now both are supposed to be road tyres but the Corsa are more track orientated - so which one should I get ? Most of my driving will be in the UK (read not always hot and dry smile ) and I suspect throughout the year but I will do, say, a couple of track days a year (which in my recent experience always seem to be damp or wet!). Is there much benefit to the Corsas on track ? If I'm driving on the road at < 10 Celcius am I better off with PZeros ? What about a wet road ? Currently I've got PZeros in mind as the best compromise but no data to back that up.....

Good replies and differing views! It's a good point I should check out the price to change - if a PZero is much cheaper I'd be getting better value for money fitting the Corsas from new then swapping them out if I don't get on with them when they need changing. If someone in Scotland says they're fine all year round I'd may go with that to start off with!

Maybe PZeros are best to start off with. The car I drove was wearing them and I was happy (in the rain as well) so I was originally wondering whethe the Corsas provide significantly better traction on the road for getting the power down or are the benefits all on track cornering and resiliancy? I seem to remember reading the Corsas have stiffer sidewalls which will affect the compliance on the road. PZeros are probably the safer bet to learn the car - I can always change up later.

I would recommend this, and rather than go for PZero as your second set you could even go with a more winter oriented tyre such as the Sotto Zero, so you have the best of both worlds. Like I said though, I've had no issues with the Corsa's even over winter, I find them a pretty mild 'track' tyre compared to say Cup 2's.
Good thought! I have Sottos on the M5 and although they do get you around in bad weather they destroy the cornering handling (relatively). If the weather was bad enough I’d leave Mac at home.
