Hi, I went to visit essex prestige autos on Friday and have agreed a deal on the MP4-12C they have. Reg No MC12 MPC. Does anyone on here know anything about the vehicle and history or have any experience of dealing with essex prestige post sale? There were a few little issues with it but we finally got there.

Thanks for the info, sale was agreed Friday but no deposit paid yet so I can back out still. I wanted to put the feelers out here. I requested all the paperwork they had to carry out some due diligence. I did read the reviews which to be honest are far from glowing. There were little things that did annoy me with them, advert said 18k miles, I got there and it has 19,150 miles. I asked why, well it came in at 18,900 miles and the owner rounded it down to 18k. Mmmm, yeah ok. Few stone chips and the 3 month warranty they offer with it seems fairly worthless. But it was a nice vehicle and the interior was just what I was looking for. I'm sure it cant all be bad stock.

Would mclaren charge for doing the vehicle checks needed to see if it passes for a mclaren warranty? If I said to the dealer I will only go forward with the sale on that condition that may be a way of making sure things are ok.

I took the advice and am glad I did, now the proud owner of this with manufacturers warranty. Excellent job by Mclaren Glasgow. Only driven it briefly but wow, it certainly picks its feet up. Looking forward to some nice weather so I can get it out on some of our lovely north west roads.

Thanks, they do feel very special. People go absolutely nuts when they see it. The alarm decided to go off last night completely of its own accord, not sure why?. These kind of things always happen when its pitch black at 3am. I also am struggling to get the front vehicle lift to go back down consistently, goes up easily. Minor gripes aside I just cant wait for some better weather to properly test (thrash) it, would love to hear from any other owners in the North West.
