As much as I would like to buy a manual GT3 Porsche will not sell me one. So my search has widened to include the 570S.

I'm considering going to look at this car:

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

My questions are:

1. Is that car a good price?
2. Covering 5000 miles a year would I limit my exposure to depreciation by finding a car with lower mileage to start with?
3. Anything else I should consider?

Thanks.

Have you driven one? That will help make your mind up. You will either love it or feel non-plussed about it.

- This car seems very cheap, why?
- I don't think McLarens are mileage sensitive like Ferraris and Lamboghinis (or GT4s...)
- You only live once
Yes Ive driven 540 570S Spider and GT. Smitten with them all but S is my best match.

Yes I agree the car looks quite cheap - I guess thats partly why I am slightly suspicious!

Person on Mclaren forum has an interest in changing his gt4 for a Mclaren and more crucially was asking specifically about something to do with the Mclaren which frankly you would know absolutely nothing about and you still feel the need to pile in with your usual ill informed nonsense about the 570 (which would easily run rings around a gt4 on track and is far more fun to drive on the road if one is not obsessed about only having a manual gearbox to boot). And you wonder why some people on the Porsche forums have a serious issue with you?
You said what I was thinking!

lol - hysterical!

OK - so the original car linked in the first post might not be the one for me - good to read thoughts from owners. Thanks.

Thanks chaps. Some good pointers and things to consider.

I'm starting to have a feel for the options now.

The point about warranty is a good one. That does help lean me towards buying a newer car with more warranty remaining.

I would guess within 12 months the 570s will be around or below 100k, that will make them a super car bargain!
Maybe I will buy one in the depths of Winter ...
