Best upcoming EVs? What's worth waiting for?
Discussion
As per subject title (edit: WORTH WAITING FOR, damn autocorrect) I'm currently in a 2021 BMW M340i Touring on the basis it was the best end-of-era estate at the time and none of the current batch of EVs quite tickled my fancy in the £50-70k bracket.
There's some good looking EVs on the near horizon though - what are people looking out for? Looking for something which ticks a practical performance car box, e.g. >350hp, 4 proper seats and can carry camping gear and road bikes. And looks good.
My watchlist includes,
Ioniq 6
EV6 GT
Polestar 3
Rivian R1T
BMW i3 Touring M50 (assumption!)
(I just can't get on with the Model Y looks..)
What else is coming over the next 12 months?

You appear to have started the thread I need; thanks!
I'm desperately clinging to a hope that, despite reviews to the contrary, the Megane E-Tech will be large enough, as it will surely start around £6-10k lower than the existing Enyaq/Ioniq 5/EV6 set.
Perhaps the Nissan Ariya, although that'll be £45-50k starting price again.
Need somebody who isn't MG to do something more cost effective than the Audi A6 e-tron estate. VW id7 Tourer rumoured for 2024.

I'm on the wait list for the Megane E-tech but jsut checking out salary sacrifice scheme and i can get a Volvo C40 for £400 (maint, insurance etc 36/10k). I nearly FTK but lack of parking sensors and the OH puts me off, you can't even order as an option and the Ultimate is over £100 a month more.
Still waiting for some new models to be released like the Megane and non vRS enyaq

Ooh, hadn't seen the A6 Avant E-Tron before. That might be the one worth waiting for (unless Taycan Sport Turismo's suddenly drop in cost).Need somebody who isn't MG to do something more cost effective than the Audi A6 e-tron estate. VW id7 Tourer rumoured for 2024.

i'm waiting on the lotus Eletre specs and price to be firmed up before deciding between it and a Taycan 4s sports turismo
Did they say anything on the Eletre price? I'd expect it to be another 50% more expensive than the Porker?arcticnick said:

I do wonder, with manufacturers maximising margins, and increasingly high prices in each sector, if these won't dip below £70k list at launch. Sadly. As someone else mentioned above, the VW ID7 Tourer looks spot on for what I want as a family vehicle:

If this had been available I'd have gone for it instead of the Q4 I have on order, but no-one seemed to be doing much in the way of attainable EV estate cars. I wanted a decent sized boot to replace my E-Class estate but didn't need or want SUV style.. oh well, next time round there should be much more choice - one of these with 4wd & 350hp would be just the job

Eletre had been quoted around £100k, been playing with the Taycan configurator for a while and keep hitting just over the £100k on a 4S sports turismo after ticking the options list so not much in itI'm waiting for any EV where I can take the battery out and carry over 100m and up the stairs to my flat in order to charge it.
Still seems to me that an electric car just cannot cut it with the majority of people who don't have a nice house with a drive/garage or the ability to park and charge at work.
After 'downgrading' from a 400bhp V8 and an old school 90s BMW in-line 6 to a modern 3cyl 1.0 petrol, I'm now accepting of a small EV
But it's just not going to work.
