Seriously, the i3, along with the i8, must be the most awful looking cars you can buy at the moment.

I just think they look ridiculous!

I don't really care about the technology or any other aspect becuase they just look awful, I guess they only sell because of the badge.
Piffle. I think they look great. Distinctive and fresh.

Too much demand and too long a waiting list for deals. I did get a free upgrade to pro bav as I placed my order last October 😉

Though in this case 1 word would have done. Yes [it will fit].

[edit] to add the rex doesnt use boot space. its all stashed in a purpose designed space over the rear axles. it has 3 options...
1) empty in a BEV with no heat pump.
2) filled with the heat pump option in the BEV
3) the REX.

Actually I'm pretty sure the heat pump goes where the Rex fuel tank lives, not in the space where the Rex unit goes. Not that this affects bike carrying capacity though :-)

I managed to get our work point 90% funded. 40% from Plugged in Midlands and 50% from the city council sustainable transport fund. Like Skilly said, I think the PiM offer is finished but you still might be able to get funding from your local council.

No driving for economy in my i3! Well not unless I need the range...

Still unbeaten from the lights!

Is there any evidence to support this? My dealer said they are shifting quite a few now availability is improved.

My next door-but-one neighbour has just purchased one!

There's an online Top Gear article titled "Why isn't the i3 selling?" from April.

No UK figures but it says the Leaf is outselling it 3 to 1. The Leaf isn't exactly common.

Mentions 17000 sales worldwide, which doesn't seem much.
They are virtually giving leafs away at the moment. £180 a month. No deposit. For a car that uses virtually no fuel and has no road tax that's a steal!

You really cannot complain about the price of the Leaf. The i3 looks nicer, is quicker, has more tech, but in pure battery form has no more range.

My parent-in laws are interested in a i3 (They don't want a Nissan), so I specced one up, nearly fell off the chair when I saw the price....£44K!!! - Remember this is essentially a super-mini sized hatchback, that has a range of <100 miles.

A bit of digging around and it appears for some reasons that £44K doesn't include the £5K government discount. But even with another £5K off, its only £10K cheaper than the base model Tesla 70S, which is much more practical, has nearly 3 times the range, faster, more tech and generally a much better car.

I have seen used i3 are quite abundant, at £20K-25K they represent a decent saving over new, so probably worth a look.....Still a brand new Leaf can be had for the same price -and thats before any Nissan/dealer discounts.

In what way?
Acceleration and handling.
i3 0-60 6.5s
Leaf 0-60 10.2s

I agree with toys.

i3 is the (much) better car, but for the money the leaf is a cracking buy.

Mine is a battery only i3 too

Face facts chaps, most people getting an electric car are doing it to save money. The i3 may be brilliant, but to most in this market that doesn't really matter.
Hmmm, not sure I agree. I wanted an i3 because they are brilliant to drive and look funky. The fact that running one as a company car is extremely tax efficient was a bonus. As is the low fuel costs. I have spent approx £400 on electricity over 16,500 miles. Happy days!

But you have 4 vehicles

M135i
I3
Fiat 500 "Pop"
Ducati monster

So you are not able to carry out the full car duties with the one vehicle you need 3 plus a nice toy. Expensive all round depreciation. Say instead you bought 1 car to do all that plus the Ducatti net net you'd be far better off.
Didn't realise there was a limit on how many vehicles one was allowed (esp on PH!)

Who said I can't carry out full car duties with one vehicle? I do share the vehicles with the wife.

The i3 does more miles than the others put together. There's a surprise!

It's a Panda 100HP not a Fiat 500 - should have gone to specsavers? Anyway that's for my daughter who is learning to drive (i3 nor M135i suitable)

M135i is for sale anyways (pending arrival of new M4)

Hey, I love cars (and bikes) so why not spend my money on them??

Also I suspect from previous posts you have no interest in EVs and are just trolling...

I see 2013 registered ones are now on the BMW AUC site from £18,495.

Though this looked like value - 2014, 1400 miles, £18,695 and the following options :-

BMW Professional navigation system.
HV battery preparation.
Heated front seats.
19" BMW i Turbine-spoke style 428 alloy wheels.
Auxiliary cabin heating system.
Real time traffic information.

That's a low mileage for a 19 month old car!

There seem to be a few 18 month old cars with only 1K on them - town runarounds I assume?
Very strange, that's very low miles for even a town runaround. Are they ex-BMW cars?
