The irony being that while I'm spending 30 minutes in the queue waiting for fuel to take me 700 miles, you're also spending 30 minutes charging your car with electricity to take you 150 miles to the next charger and will be doing that long after the petrol shortage nonsense has worn off. tongue out

Or more likely he wakes up, unplugs his car and goes about his business never actually having to spend time visiting a filling/charging station.

Odd that the OP thinks that paying less tax is a "subsidy" and even that he is getting paid.
Yes, he is paying less duty than petrol/diesel users but it's still about 35p per litre, afaik.

The comments about eccentric farmers reminded me of the story about one such character who was seen out in the middle of his paddock, day after day.
When asked why, he said he wanted an MBE so had to be outstanding in his field. getmecoat

Well yes, YMMV as the youth might say.

Nope tongue out fully charged each morning and never drive 700 miles smile 400 miles on a charge is more than fine, though we only use ours for rubbish runs and dog walks, never seen it below 50%, as with most ev users actually.

Long haul stuff here in europe we use the S63 smile

EV has its advantages and even more so for you in the uk currently.

It's been awful for me. I don't know how I cope? I sail in, past the sheep in massive queues for fuel, and there I am; me, my car and maybe another pulled up at the pump. In and out in the same time as usual.

You see, I did the “crazy” thing, the thing that I was told was a “waste of money” and will “never pay back”, I'm “driving a bomb around”, and oh yes, "gas is unreliable", etc etc Yes, you guessed right, mine's the CNG/LPG pump.

If you remember, the government invited us all to a champagne reception, in my case promising to pay me roughly £1500 a year to drive a vehicle. Most of you said, "Feck your £30,000, I'll thkweam and thkweam and I won't do it.". Ahem, well I did.

The rest of you continue subsidising my motoring with your fuel duty, and it's been going on for over 20 years? Now, apart from buying my own home, no one has ever put so much money in my pocket, for simply sitting on my fat backside.

I tells you, I've had £30K minimum, cash taken straight from the rest of you.

As I watch the rest of you queue to pay near double, the coup de gras came in the last few days.

I will admit my usual 'smug' grin filling with gas is now a full 'smirk'. Please, what's wrong with you all? Surely Shirley, £30K is heap of cash for all but a few of you?

Wasn't feeling smug at all, though there's plenty here and everywhere who qualify for that title, if anything it was weird when i filled up on Saturday, station had run out of petrol and Diesel so it was only us with LPG who got any joy.

Possibly not a great idea to crow too much about the taxation rate of LPG, when one of Rishi's disciples files a report that can soon be remedied.

Twenty years of regret simmering over his choice to LPG, his one chance to shine. Truly sad.

My local Morrison's was showing LPG at 138.9p yesterday up from about 56.9p last week.

I'm assuming a typo as that would be quite some increase.

Old retired bloke who wears plaid socks with his Jesus sandals, had one too many glasses of Cab Sav with his Hungry Horse 2 for 1.

Thinks he's hilarious but is actually cringeworthy, painfully unfunny.

It is an ipace, I meant Km actually as we’re not in uk, we have the eqs on order so it will actually be a 550 ‘mile’ range, realistically 450 i’d imagine, nobody needs that though, if you do then maybe take a look at why you do smile

Because my taxi does 300 miles a day.

Waiting patiently for an EV that can do that, that I can buy cheap enough.

It was 59p for ages, last week went up to 63p at our local Morrisons.

BP must be trying to rid it from their last remaining garages, 77p, about 10 miles from Morrisons.

Diesel was 158.9 on the motorway today, no i didn't buy any.

I have been running an LPG Duster for work since January which replaced a diesel Transit Connect. Ive done 17500miles in that time and estimate it costs me approx £35pw instead of £95pw. Ive used about half a tank of petrol over that period. I have a 24 hr fueling station a mile from home and an account with Flo Gas. I work in the West Midlands and am spoilt for choice of filling stations where you are served like in the 1950s.

I don’t care what others spend but I am made up with my choice. My factory bi fuel Duster was £11200 pre registered with 3 yrs warranty and 2 yrs free servicing.
