I’ll give a better update on the range tonight ; the car was delivered half full (of each) and showing an 8 mile range on leccy but I have only run it on AUTOeDrive i.e. self manage. I’m sure you get better range on MAXeDrive but speed and acceleration are limited. It’s been on charge overnight so I’ll get a better picture today.
On Autoedrive the battery dropped to ~13% then seemed to level out so that acceleration was still good but it may have been a flook as I was near to home by that stage. Let’s hope it was deliberate…
The car seemed willing to accelerate well without the petrol kicking in,, which may explain the battery life. That said it’s almost seamless so you only really notice the engine is on when the rev counter jumps into life. I am really impressed how well sorted that aspect is!
I got LED lights as standard.
Didn’t really notice the extended lighting, I’ll try to pay more attention.

Hey presto it has been delivered!
Initial thoughts (in no particular order) after 15 miles at lunchtime...
1. impressively smooth integration between electric and petrol, much better than I expected
2. my mate who drives a 428 was impressed with the acceleration, he reckons it's probably similar to his car
3. boot size is smaller but still respectable, folding seats will help
4. a quick run gave me low 40s mpg but a was trying out the acceleration - it has a very respectable mid-range as you would expect
5. taking my foot off the brake without the engine starting is a bit disconcerting, especially when it starts to move!!
6. in electric mode it has plenty of scope for running over grannies.
7. understanding all the MMI settings may take a couple of days but would be easier if you've had a BMW before
8. the ride is pretty smooth, M-Sport suspension with 18" wheels
Cheers for the info, really useful. Initial thoughts (in no particular order) after 15 miles at lunchtime...

Re: No3 Boot size and folding seats.
Have dropped a gaff? Didn't opt for "Split Folding Seats" as I couldn't see much point in the split seat, and
I had assumed ALL cars let alone a BMW would come with rear folding seats? Maybe not.....
1. The remote app is about as much use as tits on a fish ! Connected drive seems useful for map upgrades etc but the app has only very limited functionality.
2. I suspect they all have folding rear seats but this is my first BMW so others will be more knowledgeable. My comment was a general one rather than related to the options. Tbh if there was a touring version I would have gone for that but alas...
3. Range on full charge seems to be 20 miles with Auto. Mixed motorway and country lanes.
4. MPG remains around 40-42
5. Mrs Tross has taken a shine to driving it

Folding seats are definitely an option, seats as standard do not go down in any way. I got it confirmed twice by the live chat people on BMW website. Also it better be as I have paid extra for it as part of my lease!
The mpg is very disappointing I currently avg 50+ mpg in my 320d, up to 80mpg if I drive like a granny in flat areas.
I hoped that the 330e would return similar. Oh well...

Ok so you can precondition the car from the remote app, only time will tell if that is actually useful, maybe if we get another frost ...
If you can get over 50mpg from a 320d you will get better economy than me in the 330e, of that I have no doubt. I recently had a 120d on hire and only got 40mpg out of that. I warned you my right foot weighs a lot! :-)

Oh Cock.I thought maybe as the poster above did that the option added the split folding, I didn't know you could even get cars where the seats didn't fold.
so.... best bike carrier for a saloon?
20 miles on electric is music to my ears, especially so if that is not really trying hard to make it last and just "regular" driving.

I'm another one that got caught by rear folding seat issue. Didn't realise that for the 3 series any sort of folding seat is strictly optional until after I ordered the 330e. Bugger.
Mine should be turning up this Friday or Monday 21st at the latest. The car is the first 330e the dealer has got in & for some reason they reckon they need 4 days to turn it round... it isn't as exciting a spec as a lot of you guys are getting - just a Sport in Arctic White with the only option being privacy glass. I don't think our fleet manager cut the best deal but I am still pretty excited about getting it.
I am intrigued to see how torquey the 330e is. We've come from a Merc C250 cdi which had a lot of low down torque & was a lot of fun to drive, even if it did sound like a 1960s Russian tractor. Mind even the Merc came with folding rear seats...

MG, is that the BMW iRemote app? If so I don't *think* that works with the 330e; I am using the BMW Remote app which is subtly different as I don't seem to be able to set a daily regime.
Yes the preconditioning can be controlled from the App if the the car is plugged in or the battery is sufficiently full. You can time it to match your planned departure but I can't find a way for you can set it for the same time every (week)day. I tried it this morning and it seemed to warm the car up quite well but I suspect it will hit the battery hard if you're not plugged in.
There is some limited status information (range, efficiency), you can send a destination to the car and you can lock and unlock the car, though unlocking remotely sounds like a potential pitfall. It's a shame it's not more feature rich e.g. being able to set routes to the car rather than a single destination. Being able to plan a route on you PC and ping it to the car would be useful for longer trips. I'm sure there is more they could do to use this remote feature.
Good news, the app is reporting 51.4mpg in the journey to work today with 20% of it on electric

How does the preconditioning work if you are at your work? Can you just press a button on the app 20 minutes before you leave the office? I'm wondering ow it communicates ie Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc and if you need to be within a certain range?Yes the preconditioning can be controlled from the App if the the car is plugged in or the battery is sufficiently full. Thanks for all the useful info so far.
More on the torque please
The remote app preconditioning IS different to other models becasue the ac and heating is electric therefore it can heat AND cool before the engine is turned on. You can send destinations to the car from the MyBMW section of the bmw.co.uk website. You need to link to the car by sending an access code to it and entering that into the account section.
