Yes fan light is always on - but flashes when pre-conditioning is on. I'm on iOS and sorry there are the 2 charge choices if I scroll down - mine is set to charge immediately (shows as a tick in iOS) but not sure why that would affect pre-conditioning if it was set the other way but could see it might if it thought it didn't have enough charge
Edit one other long shot - are you charging via 3 pin plug lead and if so what is the charge rate set to in the in car menu - wonder whether if it's set to low and does that affects pre-conditioning so make sure it's set to high (can't remember if that's the term used)
Now there's a thing. The last two days preconditioning has worked in my car. The only thing I changed was the second precondition time. Both were set to 08:00 but the second and lower one was deactivated. I changed the second time to 17:00, but it is still deactivated. App bug maybe?Edit one other long shot - are you charging via 3 pin plug lead and if so what is the charge rate set to in the in car menu - wonder whether if it's set to low and does that affects pre-conditioning so make sure it's set to high (can't remember if that's the term used)

Or a feature Actually, I would suspect it's not the app - were those same times (both 8am) seen through the in-car settings?
All the App will do is send settings to the car; it's then down to the car to start preconditioning. Would be interesting to see if the same behaviour was exhibited by having the first time disabled and second enabled while both set to 8am.

ah could well be, now my next question...
downloaded the app but how do you pair it to your car? I can't see any way how..

Assume you mean the brown app mentioned - downloaded it myself with same issue. Looks like you need to connect it with a lead. Also says in the app you need pronav but that might be out of date. downloaded the app but how do you pair it to your car? I can't see any way how..

Can anyone confirm if the functionality for overall stats is blue or brown app, and if brown app do you need to connect for each journey ?

On the App Store the brown app hasn't had any updates for the last 6 months but the blue app has had them up until last week.
I would stay clear of the brown app as the blue one looks like it's the latest one BMW group are putting there efforts into
I have both Apps on my Samsung and I find they have some common features but they also have unique features as well.I would stay clear of the brown app as the blue one looks like it's the latest one BMW group are putting there efforts into
The original "BMW Remote" (Brown) has my overall electric millage driven, currently 3527 miles of 15876 where as the New "Connected" (Blue) app can tell me Service related info like Engine Oil and Tyre Pressure etc.
Gutted. My delivery (planned for the 27th March) has been delayed to 3rd April due to "delays in transportation". I think this will also meansit will fall into the new car-tax legislation (post 1st April).....I've asked if they can register it before the first if it's in the country.
Car tax aside, it means I have to wait another week before I can play with my new toy grrr!

just pair the device on the bluetooth, have the apps open on the phone and they connect to the car, i made sure backgroud refresh was on. initially i thought it only worked on the cable but btooth does work as well. i have the professional media (no enhanced bluetooth) and an iphone 6s. downloaded the app but how do you pair it to your car? I can't see any way how..

overall stats on brown app under efficency. its not obvious though! you can swipe through previous journeys but it might be only eco pro journeys, havent worked that bit out. each app has slightly different scope. i just run both, brown adds things to idrive menus (calendar, web radio etc)

OK lovely boys.
First impressions. Total price £39,975.
1. Drivetrain and gearbox are amazing - feels very much like the six cylinder 330 Clubsport/328i Sport I had - LOTS of low down grunt - not been over 4500 rpm yet but it's starting to sing by then - promises to sounds great when pushed once run in
2. Fit and finish beautiful
3. M Sport suspension is very (very) firm but very planted - grips like a gorilla on your granny - might be too harsh on 19s.
4. Love the Hexagon/Alcantara option - very E30 M3 - also the wheels are fantastic for £180 upgrade!!
5. Piano black makes a huge lift to the cabin feel
6. My four year old son saw it and shouted "totally cool car Dad"
7. Max E drive is very impressive - feels like a quick car full stop even without the petrol engine - whisper quiet
8. Fuel tank is tiny and range is about 300 miles - the 535d had a range of 700. So going to have to avoid the Ginsters shelf more often
9. Boot is quite shallow - you MUST get the split rear seats
All in all, an absolutely gorgeous car. 7% BIK makes it a no brainer. Paying something like £150 a month in company car tax for the car and unlimited fuel. Amazing.

Got extra 3 week delay on mine now due to shortage on Samsung batteries. Here's hoping they aren't ones meant for the Note 7!.
So I've got to put up with a likely July delivery currently
