Picked my Ioniq 5 up last Friday and have done 76 miles this week showing an average 4 miles/kWh. Car weight 2095kg.
Going to have a run out to Wales at the weekend to see what I get then.
Recent 100 mile run outs in my i3S and got 5 miles/kWh. Car weight 1730kg.
Went to North Wales and got 4.5 outgoing and 4.6 coming home with over around even split of 140 miles with mix of 35% duel carriageway and 65% A roads.Going to have a run out to Wales at the weekend to see what I get then.
Recent 100 mile run outs in my i3S and got 5 miles/kWh. Car weight 1730kg.
(Rear wheel drive only).

That seems pretty good. Which battery pack do you have? A round to the Koreans in my purchasing considerations, particularly given VAG products are being reported by buyers as well away from their advertised range targets. (Rear wheel drive only).

That's very different to what What Car reported in their M3 v Ioniq 5 v ID.4 test this month.
I hold these "real world tests" by magazines in high disregard. They almost always appear to maximise any discrepancy. Of course it is always down to an individual's driving style, but they consistently appear to assume the worst and be heavy footed. Get in a decent test drive route and test it for you.ajap1979 said:

Before the working from home situation I was commuting 100 miles/day and used to challenge myself on what best miles/kWh I could get so gentle eco driving with max low 60's mph.
In the Ioniq 5 at the weekend I stayed in Eco mode with fairly light acceleration and max regen but went up to 70mph when possible on the duel carriageways.
Don't get me wrong, I was keeping up with the traffic and not doing a Miss Daisy.
I was very happy with the result as it was showing that the declared range was achievable with 57% battery SOC after the 140 miles.

There’s something wrong there to be getting figures that low. Are you caning it everywhere?Mine was regularly getting over 4 before I “figured out” the auto climate control which resulted in the AC being on all the time and I was suddenly down to low 3s. I had an evening run yesterday after it turned a bit cooler which led to the cabin heater getting a bit of a workout and a 3.6 return.

Good drive here, sensible speed, with charging and a seasoned EV driver.
Charging is ace but the efficiency seems no better than my IPACE.

Saw that last night - was interesting and looking forwards to his follow up. He did admit he pushed it (though 'at the speed limits') from his Middlesbrough diversion on. Additionally DSLiverpool did say higher up he did not hang around. I wonder if the Ioniq 5 AWD is one of those cars where harder driving do bring out poorer performance from the car.
Makes sense. I’ve found I’m happy enough to do 60-65 on motorways and DCs as the miles per kwh falls off a cliff at 70-75.Silverage said:

It's actually what I'm keeping my eye out for. Test drove the ubiquitous Premium 73kWh RWD then saw a P45 the next day (and was able to see the big difference in interior quality). On the 19" wheels with an hour's driving in rush hour including a steep 1-2 mile climb I managed 3.6 miles/kW, but the car average only increased from 2.9 to 3.0. Still I only floored it three times on a dual carriageway stretch to see the acceleration differences to 70 mph in all three modes. In my Zoe I only do 60/65 on the motorway and even my old Lexus (sold a week last Monday) I was happy to sit at legal limits. So the range disappointment of max 220 in eco / heater off / mixed use is an issue.
I expected 250 per charge about 3.5 miles per kWh but I’m getting under 3
I’ve asked them what to do, they started with running in / driving style / time of the month but I know the dance and this car has an issue.
The saga continues.

I feel it's unusual for Hyundai/Kia to be a way away from their claimed ranges. Are you on any of the EV forums to see if others are suffering similarly? Hope it gets identified/fixed for you soon!I expected 250 per charge about 3.5 miles per kWh but I’m getting under 3
