So the range disappointment of max 220 in eco / heater off / mixed use is an issue.
I expected 250 per charge about 3.5 miles per kWh but I’m getting under 3
I’ve asked them what to do, they started with running in / driving style / time of the month but I know the dance and this car has an issue.
The saga continues.
I feel it's unusual for Hyundai/Kia to be a way away from their claimed ranges. Are you on any of the EV forums to see if others are suffering similarly? Hope it gets identified/fixed for you soon!I expected 250 per charge about 3.5 miles per kWh but I’m getting under 3

It’s not Hyundai it’s my particular car, we’ve had other Hyundai EVs and they do better than claimed.
Nothing wrong with your call. It appears Hyundai/Kia have no secret sauce to efficiency. Make a light weight, not very powerful or big EV like the Kona and efficiency is great. But make a bigger 'premium' EV with performance to match and its no more (or less) efficient than any EV from other brands with similar performance/size.3 miles per kWh seems about right for the Ionqi 5 at M way speeds, its likely this will drop to 2.5 miles per kWh as we head into winter.

It's a 300bhp, dual motor, 2100KG EV with 20" wheels and a 0.29 drag factor so 3 miles per kWh sounds right when compared to similar cars like the iPace and Polestar 2 AWD.

So the range continues to dive, it’s now less than our 38kw ioniq !
Its not even winter yet, and if you believe this guy at 70mph in winter, with standing water the Ioniq 5 is going to be a sub 130 mile range car!! https://youtu.be/Za_r37w3oz0

Ouch that doesnt look right, does seem like a faulty pack or bms or something
I’ve been round long enough to realise it’s definitely faulty but they are stting it as obviously it’s a huge job, they have no spares and no experience. No other owners on the Fb group get as low as I do, even if I hypermile at 30 it won’t get above 3 m per kWh
What grates on me is Hyundai et al are hiding - I’ve said I don’t what it to go in for weeks while they test stuff, get the factory solutions ready then I’ll come in.

I wonder if it's running 4 wheel drive all of the time?
I understand that when your in ECO etc., it runs rear wheel only and so should give similar mileage performance to my Ultimate rear drive version.
Not according to the dash display it’s not - I can see power distribution. Good shout though.I understand that when your in ECO etc., it runs rear wheel only and so should give similar mileage performance to my Ultimate rear drive version.
Jeez you're getting less miles / kWh than I get at 70mph with the heating on ... I get 3.7m/kWh on a 100+ mile trip on the M3/M27.
Test drove a 5 at the local dealership - only the single motor RWD. They said they'd never be able to offer a test drive in a dual-motor AWD.
Can you get an OBD dongle and plug in and have a look at it at all? Not that you should have to sort anything out... but it would be interesting to get some more data, get some screen shots to fire at Hyundai.
