Friends had his Project 45 for a while now seems pleased with it but wasn't impressed when we all went away together and he had to stop to charge whilst we carried on and arrived hour earlier than they did !. Rear screen doesn't have a wiper on it ?

Yeh I am going to put myself on call list for any cancelled order - that's the best can be done problem is I wanted matte paint so that really limits my options
When we were sorting ours out we were told there was 2 greys and black available. By the time I called back the following day there was only black available. They go quickly. I popped down to my local Hyundai garage at the weekend and was advised that a set of four tyres would cost around £1,000 due to them being custom made for the car. Is that really accurate? That’s crazy for a car trying to open EVs to the masses if so.
I’m not an owner (I was actually looking at Tucsons at the time), but I’d like to be one; that’ll make me think twice if true!

depends if they're quoting for Michelin or Pirelli, for example, it could well be right. If, however, you were to buy Hankook or Toyo (for example) your bill could be considerably less...I’m not an owner (I was actually looking at Tucsons at the time), but I’d like to be one; that’ll make me think twice if true!

Black Circles quote £208 for Michelin Crossclimate or £183 for Pilot sport 4 (fitted)I’m not an owner (I was actually looking at Tucsons at the time), but I’d like to be one; that’ll make me think twice if true!

Hi All, appreciate the advice from everyone in this thread who is Ioniq 5 over or potential owner! I have been offered a MY2022.5 for delivery at the end of November in shooting star grey in ultimate spec. This is really interesting as i just placed a factory order which I was told 40 weeks (so next May/June at earliest for a 2023 model.
Now the catch - sadly this is smaller battery 125kW Ultimate 58 kWh v the 168kW Ultimate 77 kWh so I will lose some speed and range. Is there much else different in the MY 2022.5 version than the 2023?
I will also be paying couple grand more over the lease but of course I will get the car MUCH sooner and not have to extend my current lease. Really puts me in catch 22 (no pun intended!) situation..

If it was me I would wait. You might get another cancellation, given the affordability crisis. Now the catch - sadly this is smaller battery 125kW Ultimate 58 kWh v the 168kW Ultimate 77 kWh so I will lose some speed and range. Is there much else different in the MY 2022.5 version than the 2023?

Everyone has their own priorities but for me they were:
Bigger battery
AWD / Ultimate spec
Tech pack
Nice colour
I got a cancellation with all but tech pack which merely adds some “nice to haves”. I wouldn’t skimp on the battery especially (personally).
Hang in there!

Thanks for the response mate and patience is a virtue. I will hang on and it does make sense to get the bigger battery alone which is such a key part of an EV!
I know it must be so tempting to get one sooner.I suppose as well as the above, the one you have ordered will also have 225bhp instead of 168bhp.......POWEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
