I'm planning on going all in and running both the i3 and an M3 performance from evezy.
Having done the maths the M3P still works out very simlar to a PCP/PCH deal once you take the mileage allowance, insurance, maintenance and charging into account but means that if going 100% EV causes an issue for us we can change within a month and revert to an EV/ICE setup.
Just need to get that deposit down now and then fingers crossed for early August delivery.
Sounds awesome - but at the same time having the ability to cancel for whatever reason is a big plus too.Having done the maths the M3P still works out very simlar to a PCP/PCH deal once you take the mileage allowance, insurance, maintenance and charging into account but means that if going 100% EV causes an issue for us we can change within a month and revert to an EV/ICE setup.

Do we know for definite yet if the Teslas come with free Supercharging *and* free Polar Plus charging - or is the free Supercharging in lieu of the Polar Plus card?

if it works out after the first couple of months I'll be signing up for a 6 month on the i3 to get the ULEV grant towards a 7KW home charger anyway TBH.
Yeah, I'm pretty jaded about public charging to be honest. Obviously its different strokes for different folks, and I'm not strictly complaining because its ultimately free, but I'd rather be waiting at home doing somethign productive than waiting somewhere public, and - as has been the case lately - spending money grabbing food or whatever to kill time, which I wouldn't be doing if I could charge at home (or was in an ICE).
I don't have any rapid chargers on a natural route home so I'm finding myself driving from work to a public charger, getting as high as I can within an hour or so (ooer) and then driving home, often quite late. Because I'm doing 40 miles a day minimum this is at least a weekly ritual.
I underestimated how appealing it would be to be able to just plug it in at home and forget about it, even if it does mean spending ~£2 a night or whatever.

Is it that you've no ability to charge at home - or just trying to maximise use of free charging?I don't have any rapid chargers on a natural route home so I'm finding myself driving from work to a public charger, getting as high as I can within an hour or so (ooer) and then driving home, often quite late. I'm looking to switch to Octopus Go ASAP for energy supply so I can get 5p per kWh charging over night for 4 hours.
I'm just using 3 pin for now still, I reckon it adds 4.5% to the i3 every hour - so that means I should be able to add 18% charge in 4 hours at a cost (18% of 37.9kWh) x 5p = 34p
Plus, a £50 referral credit upon joining Octopus will in effect pay for about 150 nights' of charging.
I only use about 12% for each commute so it should be more than enough to keep it fully charged. And when it's that cheap I don't think I'll bother using the free rapids unless I'm on a long journey. I'm already sometimes just using Instavolt instead because the knowledge there are 2+ units is worth a few £ occasionally I reckon.

I have the ability, but not got a charger installed yet. The electrics are a bit suspect too so I've been liaising with Western Power and NPower to work out if the various bits are up to spec. The last (and only) time I tried to use the granny charger it tripped the breaker on both the two lowest settings. I also need to sort a 6 month contract with Evezy, and the whole Model 3 pondering has made me hesitant with that.

Ah I see - well hopefully they can get it sorted out soonish so you can at lease make use of the 3pin - I've been very pleasantly surprised with charging just over 3 pin. I also need to sort a 6 month contract with Evezy, and the whole Model 3 pondering has made me hesitant with that.

I've had it confirmed that both Polar and Tesla charging are included. Good news for me as have a Polar charger at local supermarket and no Tesla chargers anywhere near home.
Nice one - thanks for doing the asking!Sounds a pretty compelling offer I think.
The only thing that would maybe make me think twice from going for it straight away (apart for the extra £200 that is), rather than waiting a little while, is I'd maybe like to see how well the Evezy tech integrates with the Tesla - I don't suppose they are able to know for sure until they get their hands on a car. I'm sure it'll be fine and they must be confident that it will all work as intended.

So I see Tesla have moved the goalposts and there are again 3 variations of the M3 now available for the UK.
The Performance model now comes with the PUP included in the price and the only free colour is white with solid black now a £750 option.
So the question is will EVEZY get the original non PUP black performance models as advertised or the new PUP equipped white cars?
Guesses on a postcard, not sure which I'd prefer TBH.

So now, apparently, the multi-coat white pearl - an expensive cost option - is now the default, and "upgrading" to solid black costs £750?
If that's true Evezy have ordered cars with an lower quality paint for more money, and will presumably have a lower GFV than the stock white car? I can't see any reason why anyone would choose black now unless they really want a black car, as it's not even metallic!

I've put the 4 month deposit down on the Performance model last week too. Now with this price reduction and various other changes I’m wondering how this will affect the monthly price from Evezy as well as preferring black over white and they switch the availability to white with black costing more on the monthly payments? Or even now not available in black?
I’ll be making a call in the morning to see what my options are and if I don’t like them what chances are there in pulling out of the deal with a deposit refund?
I feel sorry for the recent new owners of the car as they must now be having to deal with a £3-5k price reduction on top of normal depreciation. All the more reason to stick with a contract hire I suppose...

Looking at the way Tesla deal with their pricing it makes EvEzy seem a very sensible option, if they ever have any cars.
I've not put a deposit down as we like the i3 too much but if you have and still want an Model 3 I'd hang on in until EvEzy either confirm the deal or withdraw / delay to long.
Can't see how you lose out doing that.

If expect EV residuals to remain very strong for the next 4 or 5 years, but you're right, Tesla in particular are notorious for random price changes. I doubt anyone who has bought a Performance Model 3 will be disappointed with the value of their car in 3-4 years, regardless of the colour or PUP.Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
