Having eyes, I would notice steamed up windows and wet carpets straight away. If you ignore a damp car for long enough to break other stuff then that's on you.
I'd be interested to know your experience with the car, especially after you confidently told me it wouldn't do a journey I've already done twice.
Thought I'd provide a bit of an update on my iPace ownership so far!
Had the HV Battery Caution light in December, charging limited to 72% and all part of this H441 drama JLR have triggered with their various update shenanigans.
Long story short, earliest JLR in Notts could get it in for diagnosis was this week; this is partly due to the inundation of iPace with the same issue and that the Derby Dealership is currently out of action due to flooding.
Diagnosis complete, 1 cell failure (Cell 6, if interested), part ordered and JLR will contact once its in and ready to fit.
There was a time the dealer kept hold of the vehicle and provided a loaner but this has recently changed (according to JLR UK) and owners are able to retain their vehicle until it is called in for the works to be done.
Apparently parts shortages is not the issue, reckon the replacement Cell will be with them within a couple of weeks, but the delay now is actually because they haven't the staff/equipment to deal with the backlog (assume it is a fairly complex process to expose the Battery and replace cells).
All in all, a frustrating episode but JLR have been fairly good on so far.
Upside is the car is just immense. Haven't had to public charge even since the 72% charge restriction, though a couple of close shaves on range, so a pittance to run on home charging.
No signs of this dreaded windscreen bonding issue, carpets and headlining are checked routinely so touchwood all good there!
Hopefully the Cell replacement is nipped in the next month or so and can get to really enjoying it in our first summer with it.

I think they will replace the entire battery not just the cells and they drop it out of the bottom on a lift.
Put a deposit on an approved used yesterday. £3.5k deposit and 24x£200 10k miles which seems like a pretty good deal to me for two years cruising about in a nice car. Way cheaper than any pcp or lease on comparable EVs so far as i can see. The GFV seems hopelessly optimistic but that’s the finance companies problem! This will be the first PCP deal I’ve ever gone for, usually buying combination of cash and loan, but the numbers stack up and it’s nice having the devaluation risk sitting elsewhere.
Only downside is the sales manager phoned this morning to advise whilst prepping the car the traction battery fault triggered following the update, so handover will have to wait until the parts arrive (6-8 weeks officially but apparently 2 weeks is more realistic at the moment). At least it will be fixed from the time I start paying for it.
Can’t wait to go pick it up!

That is three of these in the last few days, which have had traction battery failures.
We were thinking about getting one later in the year. I might have to start rethinking that.

My question would be are the replacements different in any way from the originals or can we expect battery issues to be a long ongoing problem?

That seems pretty cheap? I'd probably want to up my mileage but I guess that wouldn’t make a huge difference to the repayment amount.Only downside is the sales manager phoned this morning to advise whilst prepping the car the traction battery fault triggered following the update, so handover will have to wait until the parts arrive (6-8 weeks officially but apparently 2 weeks is more realistic at the moment). Mine has recently been in to Listers with a traction battery fault.
Couple of days to diagnose, whist I had a lovely 23 reg iPace.
They've declared my car safe to drive, and it's module 29 that has failed,
They have said there's quite a delay with parts, and expect it within a month, they said it will need 3 trained technicians to replace the module when the time comes.
We're due to go to Tenby for a week with the car soon, I just can't be bothered with it's current range, so will be borrowing my dad's trusty Yeti!

So that is now four in a few days with battery problems
I've just been having a quick look on Autotrader, and to say I was shocked is an understatement; what has happened to the pricing?
I had no idea they were now so cheap, there are 28 below £20,000.
They are base spec and from Third party dealers, as others have said on here I wouldn’t go near an iPace without a manufacturer’s warranty. Because you WILL have a battery issue in your ownership.I've just been having a quick look on Autotrader, and to say I was shocked is an understatement; what has happened to the pricing?

But peak value for money is an early pivi pro HSE, that's what everyone wants.

Wouldn't Jaguar still cover the battery warranty?

The battery warranty remains in place on every iPace you could buy today, and will do until it expires, I think it was 7 years but can't remember the specifics.
But the current battery issues reported are being handled under recall terms, not battery warranty aren't they?
Regardless of the above, if you buy you want either the manufacturers warranty extended or a gold standard third party warranty. It's a £20k car to buy, but an £80k luxury high powered Jag to repair...

Obviously high mileage hence the price - not that anything much is particularly likely to wrong on the iPace due to such mileage.

Is the mileage really that high for a five-year-old car of this kind? Maybe for an EV?The battery warranty remains in place on every iPace you could buy today, and will do until it expires, I think it was 7 years but can't remember the specifics.

The recall would still be covered by JLR then, so that shouldn't be a problem (apart from the wait for parts).
Regarding the warranty, I can't find much to suggest they are a bigger problem than much else on the road. I also ran a 500+ BHP Jaguar for a few years before, so there is nothing I'm not used to with Jaguar's shaky build quality; the big items were an ACC sensor for £1200 from Jag but £45 fixed at the local Jag specialist and a door lock mechanism at £140.00.
The real problem could be that we would be moving it on right at the end of its battery warranty, which really could make it worthless if these battery faults become more public.

I am just starting to look at these as they seem great value. Excuse my lack of knowledge, what is a pivi pro?Under 20k for a pivi pro!!

Enquired about a couple of hi spec 23 plate cars at 40-45k, almost feel like giving up.
Shortlisted three, want to buy one of them, one in particular and they can't even reliably tell me the spec of the car or if they can extend the warranty etc, always say they will get back to you and don't
Want to buy one but losing patience.
Not many other EV's for sensible money with decent boot and cabin space for a family whilst having the class of the Jag.
