Yep, one of the things I really like about the Twizy. Can fit gaps in traffic a car will leave you waiting.
I often wonder about the legality of this... I mean if you are in a car sat in 2 lanes of traffic, could you legally straddle the dividing line and drive between the lanes if there was a big enough gap? I'm assuming it's legal for bikes but where is the line drawn? Quadricycles ok, but cars not?TP, have you watched me and mon ami on youtube? A British couple living in the south of France, they've done quite a lot on driving longer distances and through terrible weather along with a recall that meant flicked up stones in the wheelarch were knocking the door latch and flinging the door open!
Seems well suited to where they live, was recommended by youtube algorithm after I subbed to your channel.

Picked mine up today (delayed from 21 October with a dead battery "small one in the front" which was a shaky start). I did not go for a test drive or watch any reviews so was a lovely raw and funny experience! Found the acceleration ok, top end needing some modification and a long steep uphill slightly worrying watching speed decrease slowly from late 20's to 18mph by the time I got to the top....it was really noticeable how the range decreases when working the motor hard as well, although I did see the range increase a bit on one downhill!
My pickup run was about 15 miles of B roads some of which are quite fast roads if you have the means which meant I felt slightly anxious at times joining around at 25 mph But where it all felt really at home was when I hit the home run town boundary - it was really quite a nice experience to drive on town and wave back at anyone who cared to point, wave and take a photo!
Great first run out and sure I've bought myself an enjoyable ride for dotting around town odd jobbing with the occasional blast in the country!

Brilliant little cars - our cities should be full of these things.
I'd far rather the streets were full of these:By comparison, the AMI seems such dull and inefficient engineering

Whatever happened to that thing? Murray was hawking it as the next best thing over a decade ago. Seems to have vanished.Gweeds said:

GWiz mk2. In environments like London it would be good to see these take off. The issue in the urban environment is the most likely user would be someone in a £500k+ home with no private parking. I guess the risk of micro EVs is that they could increase the number of car journeys as something like this would most likely be used by someone to give up walking, using the bus or tube etc?
Are we expecting the reality of the lack of heating in the Ami when heading into the winter to dampen peoples enthusiam somewhat?
Appreciate mutiple layers, gloves and a hot water bottle stuffed up you jumper will help keep the driver warm but what about being able to see out of the bloody thing or defrosting it in the morning?

It does have heating Appreciate mutiple layers, gloves and a hot water bottle stuffed up you jumper will help keep the driver warm but what about being able to see out of the bloody thing or defrosting it in the morning?
Albeit a rather basic 'on/off' blower. It does clear the windscreen and is reasonably warm, although thats just my view from one small drive.
