Zoe Owners Daring Tales/Boring Discussion Thread.......

Seeing a significant jump in predicted range over the past few days. In the depths of winter my 54 mile round trip commute would leave me consistently with 20 miles or so of range when I got home. Past couple of days has seen this increase to 46 miles, so up from 74 to 100 miles of range in total.
Driving without the air con on now as it's warmer and without headlights on the way home

Yep, we are noticing a bit more range, which is most welcome.
For those of us with "a bit council - white" coloured cars I can recommend these door guard strips.

After my daughter was mm away from smashing the door open into the wall I thought it prudent to at least try and afford the area some protection. Initially they don't seem to quite fit but after a few days they conform perfectly to the shape of the upper door shoulders and the colour match is pretty much perfect.

Are the charges being requested from the ZE services app or in car using the schedule function?
If the former than this can be flakey in my experience. If the latter, then , err, fk it off a cliff.
So far mine has had inoperative ze services and the climate control successfully repaired with software updates. I can understand why you wouldn't want to take the thing back again though.
Can you just hand it back now, I'd be pushing for that myself, there seem to be some great Leaf deals on the go at the minute. Maybe th could get you into a new one of those?

Out of the 4 last scheduled charges overnight three have failed, I never had a single failure before the car spent two weeks in the dealer being repaired.
At which point do I call it quits?
Sound like now might be the time, given the problems that you've had. I never use the scheduled charge on mine, so couldn't comment on it's reliability or otherwise - just plug the thing in when I get home. You must have an economy overnight tariff? At which point do I call it quits?
I'd be pretty pissed off if I wanted to go to work and the thing wasn't charged.
First slightly wobbly moment with our Zoe yesterday.
Went to my parents & went to use the 'granny lead' for a couple of hours token top up, but my Dad hadn't switched the power on before I plugged the other end into the car - when the power was then turned on, the result was flashing red charging socket & 'Charging impossible' on the dashboard. Despite unlocking & locking the car numerous times & disconnecting & reconnecting the lead, the car refused to play ball. Even resorted to taking it for a short drive, but no change.
So I parked it up in disgust & left it for half an hour. This time there was no warning symbol on the dash & the charger started working fine.
Got home last night & connected to the BG unit with no issues, so hopefully just symptomatic of the Zoe's sensitive nature!

The warm weather is helping the range a lot. 79 miles vs. a usual 69 predicted range today. I managed to end the 14 mile journey to work with 77 miles remaining, giving a theoretical range at that ratio of predicted to actual of about 500 miles
soon be as practical as my old VAG diesel is that rateI was looking forward to trying the Zoe for a couple of days, went to pick the car up but there was a problem with the charger. The dealers says should be sorted in a couple of days. I have been back a couple of times to check on progress, but have now given up, the dealer cannot be bothered to contact me.

Yep, easily the worst dealership network I have ever dealt with, particularly Sheffield and Derby. Tried to give them money for a zoe on a number of occasions but had no joy. Went to Nissan instead. Great service so far.VonSenger said:
