I sell Renault's; I believe you can only finance the whole of the remaining balloon on HP as opposed to extending the PCP, I would think that if the PCP was extendable RCI would want to take a serious look at the residual as the way things are going; a 4 year old ZOE will be worth peanuts so therefore the monthlies would likely be higher than what is being paid currently.
Thing is, I appreciate the price we got it for isn't really making anyone any money (I assume). If the balloon is circa 8k then for another 2 years thats going to over £330/month - which is a complete no-no. I would however be willing to increase my payments to a more sensible level in order to keep running a car which I like, that still has the remaining warranty and service plan in place.

But that could cost more than getting a brand new one of the same car??

With the way Renault are acting I think the zoe is more of a compliance car than a serious proposition.
