I'm guessing the burnt out Model 3 wouldn't have been beaming fault messages back to Tesla that could help? Do they only get those if they ask for them rather than all the time?
It was all over the news in 2014 as it caught fire as he drove home from the Tesla store, the "bullet" story only came 4 years later though.I'm guessing the burnt out Model 3 wouldn't have been beaming fault messages back to Tesla that could help? An odd case to say the least
Stock pricing has taken a beating! Or a correction.
As have other tech stocks and some EV stocks.
Not sure what 'good news' will bring it back now?
Why are Tesla taking down their forum? Do they have real problem with spamming and trolling?
Or is it limitation of spread of 'unhelpful' talk?
Hmm scratch chin............

I can only assume there was some legalese in the original agreement they signed with the owner that locked them into paying out despite the bullet incident. That or the insurance wouldn't pay out because Tesla wouldn't hand over the evidence?
The comments are hilarious, the article photo is from another Model S fire in another country and they descend into bickering about firing tracer bullets into fuel tanks and how the battery is much safer, or not, to shoot at. Americans......

It's the distraction technique - oh look over there my car does 0-60 in 3 seconds. 2nd only to the attack dog technique usually employed.
Makes sensible debate and discussion difficult. At least a few of the characters on here are just wind up merchants out fishing for bait usually, the real nutcases reside on the soon to be defunct Tesla forums.
After hours stock finished at 600.10 or around 33% down on the high a few weeks ago. I wonder if it will dip into the 5's so our friends on here can buy on the dip
I'm expecting a raft of stock boosting "news" to start leaking out of Tesla soon to try and boost it back up again.
$583 as I type.Makes sensible debate and discussion difficult. At least a few of the characters on here are just wind up merchants out fishing for bait usually, the real nutcases reside on the soon to be defunct Tesla forums.

If you want top buy in the 500's, then buy quickly before they're 4xx
The only pleasure I take on this slide is the slight vindication that the share price was stupidly high. The faithful probably can't see the people that made the real money were Musk and his bonus, the rights issue at a crazy price and the other directors cashing in shares, I feel sorry for all those believing the 800+ was a buying opportunity

However, I take a lot more pleasure in those shorting having to buy absurdly high. Tesla delivered on that in spades in the past years .
I'd be keen to jump in if it goes much lower. I guess the question is where the practical floor is.
One does wonder how long Elon can keep promising things are coming, with no evidence of it. FSD beta looks pretty impressive in the States, but it feels like the competition is moving much faster nowadays.
