EVEZY Discussion thread

Have 2 cars from them.
Phone signal a non issue as lock/unlock works via bluetooth.
The wait list is definitely a problem. Back in April last year I got my i3 within a week of registering, can take 3+ months to get one now. Not really a rental car alternative as month to month with no daily offering as with Enterprise/Eurpcar etc.
Registration fee is £10 so not really an issue?

I specifically asked if the Bluetooth access and drive feature of the model 3 would conflict with the sleep mode feature of the evezy that is required to be activated in order to prevent ridiculous battery drain when not being driven, which if true would result in delays in unlocking the car and was told, eventually, that it won't.
Can anyone who has an evezy model 3 with Bluetooth comment?
If it unfortunately does, then that would be the final nail in the coffin for me and evezy, as they take the key card away after install.
I'll post back over the weekend!

So.... after having the evezy model 3 module added on friday to allow app access + drive without the need for the key, i have come to use it this morning and cannot get it to connect to unlock the car, ive had to call evezy and ask them to open the car - with the expectation i have to keep calling them to unlock/lock the car until its fixed - i knew this was a bad idea and giving them the keycard was foolish.
i think thats it for me, this is the straw that broke the camels back.

We've had an i3 since April and a Model 3 since start of December both of which use the BT access method daily. In that time we've had to call Evezy once due to a problem accessing one of the cars which ended up being due to a complete server failure that was fixed in under an hour. They still managed to unlock and start the car remotely so my wife could get home though.i think thats it for me, this is the straw that broke the camels back.
There can be an issue if you have a poor data signal from your phone where it thinks it can connect to validate the booking but it fails. The fix for this is disabling all antennas other then BT on the phone so it cannot attempt to connect and validate.
I'm assuming it has worked since being fitted and isn't just a faulty unit/install? And that you've tried restarting your phone/re-installing the app as a last step?

I have OK signal where i live (2 out of 5 bars) but when i go outside the wifi drops down to 1 bar, so i disabled both wifi and mobile data and low and behold it works, be interesting to see how this pans out - cant be bothered having to keep disabling wifi and mobile data every time i leave/enter my house to lock/unlock

ive tried the restart of phone plus uninstall/reinstall. Its worked on friday when the tech was here and I havent touched the car since, until this morning.

Glad to hear that was the fix and agree in certain circumstances that would be a real pain though. Fortunate that we don't struggle with that issue other than very occasionally. Maybe just knock off wi-fi and see if it works fine with mobile data?I have OK signal where i live (2 out of 5 bars) but when i go outside the wifi drops down to 1 bar, so i disabled both wifi and mobile data and low and behold it works, be interesting to see how this pans out - cant be bothered having to keep disabling wifi and mobile data every time i leave/enter my house to lock/unlock
The pain for us is having to login/out of the app on a regular basis when swapping between the 2 cars.
They just aren't keen on anyone having access to the car without the app. All other cars in the fleet are accessed by phone over BT so brings all of the Model 3's into line.
Makes sense from a business perspective as no concerns over security, lost keys or not being able to restrict access to subscribers who perhaps don't pay?

If on iPhone can’t you use Shortcut automation to disable everything when you open the Evezy app? Worth a try. Ah right. I figured it might be that, and yes it makes sense. I just naively figured that they dished out cards originally for these cards that this was going to be how they operated those models.Makes sense from a business perspective as no concerns over security, lost keys or not being able to restrict access to subscribers who perhaps don't pay?

be good if someone went to tesla service centre to get an additional key beforehand in case this specific scenario played out like it has....
I assume Evezy will just remove any additional keycards from the system when they fit the BT kit anyway TBH. Be daft if they didn't.SWoll said:
