Ah OK. When I looked at a Taycan before it was very easy to add quite a few ££££ to get the ‘essential’ options.

A change of lease co to Octopus means the car search can restart hurray!

Can anyone tell me what the GT lacks over the GT Line S?
Kia publish 2 different brochures so its difficult to compare
I've seen LHD road tests of the GT with a sunroof but the RHD dont???

having had Pano & sunroofs for a while they often make the cabin much brighter and less coal-hole-like

And will i feel short-changed if i only have 321bhp (I think i know the answer to this!)
No sunroof in GT. Seats not electric or vented, but are excellent! That’s about it. Oh, and goes like stink!

Yes, not electrically adjustable. Still heated. Also GT gets adaptive dampers, revised suspension and a rear LSD.

An EV that doesn't destroy its brakes or overheat its battery / motors on the Nurburging!

Wow, nice.. thanks for the heads up.

I sat in a EV6 GT-Line which was nice, if a little overwhelming in terms of controls coming from a Model 3. Felt a lot better put together though.

EDIT: Apropos of nothing but that's a nice XR2 in @JonnyVTEC's photo too, that must be worth a fair bit in its own right. Can spot an Escort Cosworth too love
Yes, my last car was a model 3 and the EV6 is certainly a better built car. I am enjoying having actual buttons though and the HUD is great.

Talking of VTEC.... I do have an S2000 tucked up in my garage!

I took mine on a trackday at Brands Hatch,

It was a lot of fun and coped very well, it even had enough charge left to drive home afterwards, arriving with all of 4 miles to spare.

Ah right, basically the same as me then (2020 M3P).

How are you finding the performance of the GT by comparison? Is the software alright?

From my limited time sitting (not driving) in the GT-Line, I kinda feel like everything bar probably battery efficiency is probably better in the EV6.
The performance is great! I think the M3P would have the jump off the line but not by much and once moving the EV6 feels faster.

Now I have got my head round the software it's pretty good. Obviously has the benefit of CarPlay too. I have bought an android box and plugged that in that gives access to Netflix, Prime, iplayer etc and adds wireless CarPlay too.

Overall I much prefer it and the efficiency isn't that much different to the M3P.

Yep. I think you are going to struggle to get one for an extended test drive. First one I drove was mine!

I really like the look of these and as both my mum and MIL have Kia’s, I know that our local dealership are excellent to deal with.

When I had my Taycan I got cheap charging with IONITY (30p/kWh), do Kia have any special rates with charging providers? If so what’s the damage?

I got cheap Ionity charging for the first 12 months

I "followed" one the other day in the MINI JCW which has decent mid range punch. I might as well have been on my bicycle. It f....ing disappeared from view very quickly.
They do shift!
