London Taxi TX5

Given the selling price which will be £50k or more, expect a couple of decades before you see them around. Lots of drivers will run their old cars into the ground.
The TX4 wasn't far off that. These are business tools, the price is largely irrelevant especially in London where a black cab is what people want to get in, not some converted van.Amusingly I worked in the R&D department of London Taxis in 2001 and the stylist and I came up with a few sketches of this proposal then, and it has barely changed. I'll try and find the drawing I kept when I left, but it's 90% the same.
I would disagree on the point that the price is irrelevant. How many 2010/11/12/13/14/15/16/17 reg plates do you see around London? Very few. Bc the drivers prefer to avoid forking out £50k and prefer to run their old junk into the ground.
In fact the argument is not mine but one from a chap called John on Pure gt who is a cabby driver and expressed that view himself not long ago when the engine of his cabby blew up. He much preferred refurbishing it.
