1970 Fiat 500 electric conversion
Discussion
Def speak to Mike at https://www.indra.co.uk/ he knows his stuff and might be able to give you some advice or sell you parts for a DIY project.
These guys have done EV conversions on a Citroen DS, a Daf 33 and so on.

IIRC they are all 48V however due to Dutch rules around higher voltages.

You make a fair point. However, this car has already been sacrificed once. This is how it looked when I bought it five years ago.
I believe that as I rescued the little thing from the scrapheap, I'm entitled to fettle it.
take a look at rich rebuilds on youtube, he bought a write off electric bike pretty cheap and is converting a ford model A with the EV bits, something like that should work well in a light Fiat 500I believe that as I rescued the little thing from the scrapheap, I'm entitled to fettle it.

Hi,
Have you heard any more about available kits? I’m looking to do a similar conversion, albeit will be looking to somehow achieve around 120 miles range. It must surely be feasible to undertake a conversion for circa £10k, doing the work oneself?

Also links in the description might help too.

Mrs B took a test drive in Classic Chrome's demonstrator.I am wanting to convert a 500. Did classic chrome ever come back to you with a new DIY kit ?
To cut a long story short, she eventually did a deal to convert her 500 with Electric Classic Cars. They had completed about 70% of the work when Corona shut them down. So, we wait.
ECC have been terrific to deal with, BTW. I'd recommend their services if that's the route you decide on with your conversion.
We were lucky with our build as they had another 500 client pull out so we took their slot. Otherwise, we would have had to wait months. (Oh the irony).
Johnny Smith did a video for his Car Pervert channel on a classic Mini that had been converted to an EV by Swindon Powertrain, PH have also done a piece on them here: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-ev/swindon-pow...
Brief clip of the car, with others.
It's the stealthiest of the three.
