We bought a VW ID3 family Pro Performance back in October and with Govt grant, Dealer Discount and £1750 PCP offer, all totalled to about £6k discount (£29k v £35.7k list price inc alloy upgrade)

Now I know the Govt grant has changed again, so I'll not get that on another car but it seems any discounts have totally dried up. I called into Kia on Saturday to nosey round the EV6 (nice car, lovely interior) and dealer said its list price only, no discounts. Same when you check online.

Its a family car we are after, so something relatively spacious. We were considering the ID4, as when you previously specced the Life version up, it was a decent value proposition (thats when the grant applied) plus dealer discount etc, but that was back in Oct. Different story now (wish we had of just went and ordered the ID4 there and then)

Now, dropping £37, £38k on an ID4 puts you into that Polestar 2, Kia EV6, Ioniq 5 area.

Anyway, overall question - any nice EV's out there that I haven't thought of, and any deals kicking about? Its start of the year and was kind of hoping for some deals, but doesn't seem to be any around!

Unlikely to see discounts on a factory order car from any manufacturer with such long lead times at the minute. .

Skoda Enyak should also probably make your list and will add that you're going to be looking at £40k+ for an Ioniq 5 or EV6 which would also bring the Audi Q4 e-Tron and Mustang Mach-E into the equation.

Mercedes EQA has decent discounts but s unfortunately rather expensive to begin with so still looking at closer to £45k.
Yeah, the Enyaq is a nice car

No issue upping the budget to £45k and while the EQA is within budget, imo, its not great for value for money. Its fairly small compared to the other offerings in this price region whereas the mustang has a bit more room inside. The ioniq 5 and EV6 have a very spacious feel, although, I haven't actually seen the EQA in the flesh to be fair, just some pics
