I had a look and can't find anything

Our Ipace recently had its first service it was done while we waited and took an hour, according to the invoice the only part they replaced was the pollen filter, no fluids no filters nothing to do, yet the bill was an eye watering £370, when I requested a breakdown the adviser replied "that is how much Jaguar tell us" which is obviously rubbish.

The reason we had it done while we waited was that they wouldn't collect the car or give loan cars, apparently due to covid restrictions, they didn't even wash it or top up the screen wash.

Has anyone else had experience of servicing costs on Ipace's or do they really charge £400 an hour labour rate. it's PH but I'm quite happy to say which dealer.

As they said it is what JLR say to charge, I raised it as a complaint with them, its now over a month and still haven't had a response, that is why I was wondering what experience others on here were having with servicing, foolishly I assumed as there is very little to do the cost would be low and just let my wife book it in.

We’re you happy with that price? How long did it take?

Not sure I had any option . They needed servicing .

Time wise , no idea - the ETron was collected and returned , I left the jag .

Surely as they are expensive cars , you’d want a reassuringly expensive service ?? Lol

Just don’t buy an Aston ..

I was checking the price for a handbrake switch on a NP vanquish . Aston parts wanted £95 !!! It is a land rover part which can be purchased for …..£15
I'd love a cross reference for parts bin bits on my AMG GT

Prices from Marshalls Jaguar:-
I use marshalls and that's what I'd expect for the first service. Kind of undermines the OP being told he was charged 400 because JLR told the other dealer they 'had to'. Clearly they could charge less as Marshalls and many others reportedly do.
Where we live we are pretty stuffed, The nearest dealer is Grange Hatfield, Next one is Grange Brentwood, Wife works in Welwyn Garden City so Hatfield is close if service was normal.

How much?!?!

Out of curiosity I Googled the service schedule.

A ‘service’ is literally lots of looking at stuff, a pollen filter change and a brake fluid change.

Now, remember when cars were serviced every six months, a brake fluid change was not a thing?

Well, now oil changes are no longer a thing on BEV’s, according to Jaguar all the flexible brake pipes need changing every 6 years as a ‘service’ item…

Be interesting to know if the Fpace or Epace have the same requirements

This all day long
Its not really the point of the thread, I could have shopped around, drove 100 miles and wasted a day, the point is this is a main dealer and within reason the pricing should be standardised, the dealer lied and said the pricing is dictated by JLR, the truth appears to be that dealers feel customers are fair game, this attitude will damage their reputations even more. whereas the Koreans seem to have sorted it out.
