No one has "UK" on their green plates?
Discussion
I think I've finally found the answer....
Fo international treavel: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/driving-in-the-eu seems to imply that the UK and the flag go together - to avoid the "UK" sticker you must have BOTH the "UK" and flag.
To be clear, whilst https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/flags-... does not seem to force BOTH i.e. a "UK" without flag might be legal here. It would NOT satisfy the international requirement.
The blue of the flag clashes with the green of the plate so I presume most (all but 1 I've seen ever) people with EVs opt for neither.
