last yr I seem to remember top quality 'bog roll' was included & even air freshener (to keep the few ladies happy who shared the facilities with us). ...a spare roll is always useful in case of emergencies & supplies run out. Also a pair of flip flops or Crocs as the shower cubicles are tight for space & you don't want your best driving shoes getting damp! wink
Another great point. Flip flops on the listsmile

I keep hearing mention of Le Mans Radio. How do you go about getting this? I've an iPhone 5S with 1 Radio App (TuneIn Radio) so is it simply a case of tuning this into a specific frequency at Le Mans & hey presto? Do iPhone Radio Apps work abroad?
Very unlikely as I imagine they rely on data, which is hard to find in sustainable quantity. I bought a pocket radio for about £10 last year.

The 1st Tickets/PH site has Wi-Fi i believe so i'd be using that when on-site.

I think wifi reception will depend on where you are on the site though. TuneIn Radio is a great app and it's how I usually listen to Radio Le Mans but while you're there I'd just get an FM radio with a speaker and headphones. Radio LM is on 91.2 FM.

Where we're in camp we'll watch the race on German Eurosport(satellite setup) and listen to the commentary on Radio LM.

guys need your help,im looking on ebay for some campsite tickets that will accept a 7.2m campervan which campsite should i be looking for houx maybe?any help would be appreciated i know its last minute but just getting over an illness so could not book before.thx simon
2 separate tertre rouge tickets on ebay at the mo.

Tertre Rouge pitches aren't numbered/allocated so you can choose a pitch that suits the vehicle without worrying about over hanging into someone elses pitch.

Officially you should be a maximum of 7m so try to hide the 0.2m on way in wink

p.s. you'll need a general admission ticket as well which are available at gate from Wednesday afternoon onwards (I think?) or from Rotonde or the new ticket collection place (?) before Wednesday. Basically you can get one there!)

You can pick up a radio for about E10 at the circuit. Preset to radio lemans, just plug in and go. No data hassles or phone battery draining.

Hang on, do 1st tickets provide the tent too?
As above, you pay about £140 for the benefit of using a pre erected tent, furnished with air beds, chairs, table & lamps etc. so only bedding requiredsmile Had to pay a compulsory £100 refundable security deposit too. Did this as the hassle of packing everything required to camp was too much & i wanted this being my 1st le Mans to purely focus on the driving/drinking (not often those can be used in the same sentence).
At no point did I read or hear about that, tents have been agro for us, I have 3 but didn't want to transport the big one as it weighs nearly 100kg, the middle size one sags in the middle and the little one is a bit too flimsy. Oh well. Taking the people carrier now so the big ass tent it is!

Just remember that comment when it's heaving down with rain as you're trying to erect your tent, and I'm sitting in my pre-made tent drinking my first of many beers drinkwink

Sorry Wednesday Night too!
Oops, replied to your 1st post & didn't read your later postsmile

Cool. Would love to hook up as have never driven to Le Mans before so a convoy with seasoned travellers & a nice lunch stop sounds perfect.

Will PM you my mobile number & meal address etc.
W8PMC, you don't get into our clan that easily. There will be some initiation challenges on the Ferry (;

Can't recall exactly how i heard about it but was at some point mentioned by 1st Tickets during the booking process. Cost is £140 for: Pre-erected tent for up to 3 people, including air mattresses, chairs & lantern. Is also a £100 Refundable Damage Waiver Deposit. I do have a fairly decent tent with all the trimmings, but really didn't fancy the hassle of putting it up after such a long journey & trying to remember all the paraphanalia required as well as what's required at Le Mans. This is my 1st visit so wanted to limit the stress factors & spend as much time on the enjoyment (boozing).

Paul is of course expecting (hoping) these challenges will involve some level of misbehaviour, naturally fuelled by high volumes of alcohol & will centre around the Showbar;)
