I managed to get expo parking and 2x GE and grandstand seats. I needed 3 and so I went back though the process and got one more. Not sure that should work..

Anyway, I now can't print them out without re-joining the queue...
There's no queue now. You can log back into your account and print them out.

Another stressful couple of hours today, but got there in the end after my own mistake, which meant I missed out on ACO stand with having to go back into the system. Could be smoother process and the time limit makes browsing options a rush job.

Parking seemed to hang on with availability a lot longer than last year.

Never camped on track, and I’m pleased I don’t have to add that to the booking nightmare.

Not the stand I wanted, but it will be fine for the time we actually spend there. Went for the extra members area access so the others have better toilet options available a short distance from the stand, instead of just trying to blag it on my membership.

However, I’ve got a stand, got tickets and can park. Accommodation is all sorted, nice house, which works out at £48 per person per night, between the three of us. Short drive to the circuit. Leave booked. Last thing to do is the ferry.

Feeling positive for next years trip!

100% - an additional 5 minutes to allow a longer "continue shopping" period would have been helpful, especially when you could still select some ticket options only to be advised that they are not available when you try to put them in the basket which loses you time, but overall I've no complaints (1st time in ACO stand) and also managed to help out a fellow PHer top up their order.

Finally got it all sorted and have downloaded my tickets

2 tertre rouge camping and 2 full week GE's

happy bunny here see you in June folks
Same here. 2 x GE & 2 x BSJ, bought & printed. Not risking the debacle of 2023 when all the campsites were sold out within weeks.
As for ACO membership. It cost me E79.00 and I saved E120 on tickets so for me it was definetly the way to go and add to that Non ACO members will have to wait until the 15th of November. By then GA's should still be available but camping not so sure. At present Tetre Rouge, ALL of Houx, Garage Vert, Epinettes & Arnage are already sold out.

Having worked on high traffic sites like the ACO booking site I can tell you managing the load ain't easy.

To a degress you can throw resources at it - but the more you throw, the more it costs and you end up having to put up prices (significantly) just so people can all book at the same time.

If you don't/limit the resources then you have a queue - and also need to force sessions to time out or people will just sit there very slowly making their choices, moving the mouse every few minutes to keep the session alive while they wait for their group to debate what campsite to go for because X is already sold out.

And you also have to go with an "It's not yours until you click Check Out" policy or people will start adding a space on site X and site Y to their basket, then start the conversation with the group about which they want as their preferred site Z is already gone - and while they're doing that other customers see both X and Y as sold out, then get annoyed when someone comes alone later and manages to book X (because the first people finally decided to go with Y/removed X from their cart).

What the ACO really could have done is opened the website a week early in "Early Sunday shopping" mode. Just like some stores will open early on a Sunday to let customers "browse" for 30min/1hr before the tills open. We can then all log in early and learn our way around the site, so for example work out that GA tickets and grandstand seats aren't 2 separate items you add to the cart but it's "GA" or "GA + grandstand" items. Certainly I'd have been in and out in about half the time (and so freeing a slot up for the next customer) if half my time hadn't been spent working out how to use the site, rather than just using it.

This is a really good point. Although the layout was similar to last year, it still takes a few minutes to familiarise yourself with it and the panic sets in as you know there are a lot of other people already on snapping up tickets. I was initially fooled when I couldn't find any T17/T18 tickets in the Category 1 dropdown and initially assumed they had all sold out and I was worrying then about what to try and get until I realised that T17/T18 had a separate dropdown.....!

There is also working out an order to go for things. I went straight away for the grandstands and general entry and finished up with camping (as the camping wasn't for my group). Had I gone for camping first, maybe the availability would have been greater. It didn't help that I was juggling screens for two accounts on two different browsers at the same time too.

It's certainly a lot more relaxing at home this morning than it was this time yesterday! wink

Might not be the best booking site but it’s rare to get tickets now without rip off booking fees on every item.

Great weather yesterday too and Le Mans now a bit closer - France looked closer too yesterday from cliffs near Folkestone with lots of ferries about. They and tunnel should be getting booked up too.

Seriously crap weather here today. Our bungalow is surrounded by about 12 oak trees and we managed to get a huge amount of leaves up yesterday. This morning, it looks as though we didn't do anything at all.... And it's very wet and windy down here near the coast.

On the subject of ferries, I'm surprised to read here (and elsewhere) that people are only now contemplating booking their ferries. I booked mine the day the dates/routes became available, back in July.

I needed four GE + grandstand tickets. Yesterday I found it impossible in the time limit to work out how I could get the two non-discounted tickets. I had the countdown running on my phone as well as the PC and was able to get two non grandstand non discounted entrance tickets using the phone. Was anyone able to get more than two GE + grandstand tickets?

Only using two ACO accounts.

So just out of curiosity, I've just been on the ticket site again.

Full week general entry tickets still available
Still showing campsite availability for Beasejour, Clos Fleuri, Cormier, Prairie, Hippodrome 30 - all others sold out
All parking places surprisingly still available but full week Expo and Panorama showing 'limited availability'
All grandstands sold out

As a non-Aco member all I can see is everything is sold out. I'd love to buy the membership but how do I know what's available after I buy it?

Sounds a bit strange, did they really got sold out, or just holding back seats for now?

Nothing is on sale for non-members yet. Next Monday it will be.

I think, but I'm not 100% sure, that there's a members allocation, which has sold out, and that there is non-member allocation still to sell. You just need to be in the queue early next Monday.

Yes I was wondering if there is any point to buy the membership now, but looks like too late!

We just don't know what is being held back - if anything. There was supposed to be a second stage for La Sarthe residents, but I've read nothing more about that. I did see a quote on FB yesterday afternoon from the ACO in answer to a question about the Houx campsite which said that there would be no more tickets. Becoming a member now is rather like shutting the gate after the horse has bolted.

Seems a daft question but is the camping per pitch/car or is it per person?

Confused if I need one or two tickets for both of us that are going (1 car, 1 tent, 2 people).

If you've never been then it's an entirely reasonable question. Camping is per car/per pitch. It's up to you what you try to squeeze on. You should be fine with one pitch for what you describe there, so 1 x camping permit and 2 x general admissions

Perfectly sensible question. This confusion, plus the short time I had to buy the things I needed lead to me erroneously buying two pitches for LM24 Classic instead of the single one I actually needed.

Anyone know whether there's a limit on the number of GA you can buy? looking to get Weekend GA when available, on 15th, but not sure if there's any restriction?
Currently, if you're an ACO member, you can buy 2 discounted and 2 at regular price. Don't know if that will change next week.
Found it on the ACO site, it actually goes up to six per person from 15th Nov

A.C.O. Members: maximum of 4 tickets
(two with 40% discount and two at other prices [full, PRM or student price])
Until 14th November (6 tickets from 15th November)
General Public: Maximum of 6 tickets
Green Ticket: Maximum of 2 tickets
