It was my first Le Mans and it won't be the last. Drove down from Cherbourg in my 4.0 Black Chim along with 6 porkers, F 355 spyder, SLK Merc. Met rest of group at camp site, 2 more porkers, 1 griff, 1 Aston Vantage.

The chim did really well given the company...147 top

Watched the football, got very

Great company, great beer, great race...role on next year

Didn't get woken by fireworks cos we were sleeping too far from them but did get woken by the twenty or so Germans across from us and their ACDC 'music'. Christ almighty. 5.10am to be exact.

Why are they so bloody organised. About four cars, numerous m/bikes, and a HUGE marquee and transit into which we saw them pile when they left: two settees, one fridge, one microwave, three rolls of carpet, one generator, assorted bags, the aforesaid marquee, chairs, beer, sleeping bags and tents, more beer.

Raceboy: did you get your TV to work for the footie?

the double take by one of the girls doing the L***o act on saturday when she saw my mates 14 year old stepson drooling at them was worthy of note (along with the act, and all for 8 euro's!)

No failed miserably But we were in the public grandstand watching the pre-start build-up when it was on anyway so just listerned to it on radio Le Mans, Never before has there been such a big cheer for the Japaneese National Anthem (It was being played as the match finished)

You mean Bennno's kid brother or me? I felt like a fourteen year old when I saw what those two birds were doing!!!!

My favourite moment was the geezer dressed in drag on the stag weekend pulling his dress up to the crowd when we started singing "get yer tits oot for the lads"
- and revealing to several hundred people in the bar that he had bugger all on underneath the dress!!

Favourite other moment was watching the footie with loads of us piled on the roof at Houx campsite. Waited til everyone was pretty drunk and shouted out to apache (who was on the roof).....

"WOULD YOU RATHER ME KEEP IT QUIET THAT YOUR'E A SCOTSMAN PETE???"

i liked the England cheer i got when i used the fezza's airhorns to do a beep, beep, beep, bip, bip, beep, beep, beep ...england...came the reply etc turning up to watch the football at the joker bar in Arnarge.

Either that or the stripper almost stopping her performance when she realised we had smuggled my 14 year old half brother in to the stripper tent.

Or could it be the black rat racing team doing donuts in Arnage on Friday lunchtime.

Or the look on Flasher and Apache's faces when they got a bit hot and very bothered in the traffic in their Tamora / Griff, at the time i was forced to open the window a touch as the air con was just a bit nippy.

Glad you liked our beer wall Nacnud. Hope you noticed the second wall beginning just in front.
The two wine pyramids either side of the beer wall were going well as well!

Did anyone around Houx/Anexe area happen to see the eurobox saloon towing a trailer, lined with polyethelene, and brimmed full with water, complete with four or five drunk looking blokes? A novel way to keep cool and have a look around the camp site!
