Had a look in a 2003 edition France road map today in WHSmiths (like you do !) and it now has motorway/dual carriageway marked down from Alencon through to Le Mans itself. So for those of you going for outright speed down there you're only without those multi lanes between Rouen and Alencon. I'm still gonna stick to the scenic route ! You can shove your crappy motorway snack stops !!!

No and Yes, they raise money for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf - See Sprint for details. I'm sure you could donate some money via the TVRCC office, cheques to Mr Shrimpton (see sprint) or visit us on Houx and donate Euros or £s (or any other currency probably).

Come down to Hurn on the 8th June to give them a send off. See Dorset site for details.

Well the ferry's awaiting, the camping tickets have arrived (at last), cameras cleaned and the films on order. I'm ready. How about you ? Hell I might even clean the car and check the tent over before I go !

I am now taking the Tuscan rather than the Chimaera and still going Poole-Cherbourg 07:00 on Wednesday.

Anyone wanting to see the TVRCC cyclists off on their trip can do so at the Avon Causeway Hotel, directions here on Sunday 8th June. All sponsorship welcome.

Bob

PS I am driving down - I'm not fit (stupid ?) enough to cycle.

Same crossing as me

I'll (hopefully) be there in a white wedge -- just some last minute tweaks

Last post on this thread I guess, but at long last I've got some piccys up on my site ( www.adesmith.ukonline.co.uk/lemans2003.html ) Plenty of you TVR drivers blasting around on Friday and more to come. The pics are pretty small files so if you want a "real" copy just e-mail me.
