Well you'll be pleased to hear I'm at the exact opposite end, our team will be in the far bottom right corner with an RS6 and an A6 wink

That session in the PH fleet was the icing on the cake of his trip that year, he's still nagging me to get as Aston.

Hopefully catch up at some point.

As the topic says general banter for the people with 1st tickets - PH private campsite..

Just got our load of goodies today in the post and I am excited to say the least..

What's everyone else driving? Been before??

It's our first year camping there so should be fun!

Hoping Pat delivers my goodies todaysmile Never been to Le Mans before & given i'm basically lazy, we've opted for 1st Tickets to provide the accommodation pre erected & furnished etc.

Travelling Hull-Zeebrugge overnight on the Wed evening so expect to arrive in Le Mans lunchtime/early afternoon on the Thursday. We're in a brand new Monte Carlo Blue F10 M5. Can't wait.
We are on the Zeebrugge ferry as well more than welcome to join our convoy down if you like.

More M5's the better!

My dad has planned a nice route down including stopping for lunch somewhere nice.

More of a general race question.

Are there personal radios you can buy to listen to radio Le Mans? Would I be better buying something before I leave.

I'm going to get some standard ear defenders tomorrow.
Yes, you can buy them from the circuit, 5 or 10 euros depending on type from memory smile

Oops, replied to your 1st post & didn't read your later postsmile

Cool. Would love to hook up as have never driven to Le Mans before so a convoy with seasoned travellers & a nice lunch stop sounds perfect.

Will PM you my mobile number & meal address etc.

Alas not a proper Datsun it's a GT-R. I do yearn for a classic though.

I've just read your profile, are you taking yours?
Best check my profile as could have sworn i'd updated it.

Sold my Storm White GT-R 3 years ago & then had a new Audi A8 for 2 years, followed by a Singapore Grey F10 M5 that i rejected & has now been replaced with a Monte Carlo Blue F10 M5 which appears perfectsmile

The guy i sold my GT-R to is my PAX coming to Le Manssmile

I'll be there with my Dad in my MR2, we're on the Thursday lunchtime chunnel, so hopefully we'll make it in time to catch some of the Thursday night practice.

FWIW we got some beer tokens with the tickets, I think this is because we're arriving Thursday evening and leaving after the race on Sunday, so not having all the meals.

Yes, there was a thread about it a while back - I got a Sony radio and tested it at the Silverstone WEC round, although a lot of people were recommending the ear defender type.

Yes radios at the circuit, they were about e10 last time we had some and were reasonable.

Shame there is no kangroo TV anymore.

The race will be on in the PH marquee and we will have it on in our Gazebo too in the bottom right corner of the PH site, I'm considering taking a projector too for watching the race at night when we aren't at the track, and for watching the England match, if we don't watch that at the track.

will you be daring to drive your Rapide along the 'drag strip' on the Friday afternoon & will it be plastered with PH decals?! Good of Aston to give you a decent set of wheels for your last PH employed trip to LM....will it be your new company car idea

I'll be there with a passenger, first time at Le Mans for both of us - driving down in my Mk1 Focus RS - glad to see a few others have gone for the lazy/pre erected tent option as well.

Don't remember the last holiday I was this excited for! Also planning things like ear defenders and pocket radios at the moment (maybe that's the excitement normal holidays lack?!)

Oh, and thinking of cold beer strategies. I think a cool box and copious amounts of ice is going to be the easiest option.

See you all there!
