I Think that there would have been alot more burn outs and fun on the houx annex roundabout on friday with out the guy with the hose, I think alot of Cars just wanted to get out of there once they where wet.

we Ssorted it we tipped the dustbin of water over the head of the tt with the hose and had to cut the hose three times b4 it stopped , a few super soakers are funny but pouring buckets and emptying hoses into ever car is wa#k .
Did you notice the fun started after the water ran out ! soak the people asking for it but let the drivers have Fun

Anyone who thinks it's a laugh to spray high pressure water into someone else's eyes or ruin someone's expensive interior trim/camera/ICE (especially when you don't even know them) is pretty much begging to have their teeth kick out.

Seemed to be quite a lot of guys with supersoakers that were generally pretty thick and disrespectful.
i dont mind the odd squirt in the window and stuff but we were stopped several times by guys walking in front of us demanding burnouts, this after they had caused a q that meant not getting above 5mph for 20mins so many cars were getting hot. Not only that but they wouldn' move more than 6inches from the roadside so there was no way you could do a safe full bore launch, which would have been fun and a lot more entertaining.
We also had some numpties writing on the dust which has caused some scratching of the paintwork, some of whom claim to use this site!

It's been said before ......

The whole experience is becoming a victim of it's own success.

The Chavs are getting hold of our weekend - they bring nothing worth respecting and respect nothing.

Went to the Nurburgring twice this year - much nicer experience - just not as 'beer led'. Contemplating missing LM next year and having longer stints at the 'Ring.

Yep I agree about being stopped to do burnouts, by a PHer as well or so he said! Not good and a problem that needs to be tackled IMO.

This is a sad topic to read. I hate hearing things like this. Thankfully because I was there in the work van this year rather than my pride and joy I wasn't driving around and so didnt see the problems you speak of.

Personally I think that being ambushed by supersoakers (if in the right hands) is an essential part of the weekends fun, but the general 'chav' problem which irratates me enough over here and now seems to have made its way over the channel REALLY gets me angry! I was one of the spectators on the roundabout and I would have loved to see some of the nice cars that were there, having a bit of fun and demonstrating their abilities. Unfortunately this was not possible because hoards of people kept walking into the road and stopping the cars, telling Astons and the like to perform stunts more suited to £50 escorts in tesco's carpark! If someone wants to light up the wheels in a powerful car they do not want to have people standing in the road in front of them or pushing against their bonnets! Grrrr makes me so mad!

p.s. I still love the weekend though and I'll be there come rain or shine next year

Dont agree with them outside the camping/hooning areas - and even in them only on people who are playing the game.

As has been said - in moderation and against others who are playing along, then their fine - but they're being used randomly and excessively.

We got sprayed by complete surprise while driving away from the circuit a couple of years ago - right in the drivers eye while we were on a busy public street. Safe? Sensible?
