Hmmmm i thought that you didnt have to attend the court hearing. I am ringing the RAC legal team later as they are supposed to be very helpful in adviseing you. By the sounds of it they got a lot of us and we will all be in court in sept. Thank god they didnt take the car from me though that sucks.

September hoon in France anyone? I missed their motorways just as soon as I got out of Dover with a 150 UK motorway miles to deal with. I missed the smooth surface, lovely sweeping high speed corners and gradient changes etc. Not to mention clear road, apart from the odd pocket of 911's getting in the way

Well, i think we were very lucky reading this thread!
We were rushing back for ferry when saw camera on bridge too late, few miles later pulled over, 187 km/h. We disagreed with him and asked for driving license and insurance and went back to his bike. Expecting a nice fine, starting to check how much we all had, he came back gave the documents back and said 'thank you goodbye, you go now'. We went before he changed his mind. No idea how we got away with it!

I had a luckly moment. 80miles into my return trip I desided to top the elise out. After hitting 130MPH ish I backed off to passed only to pass a mobile camera moments later at about high 90 MPH. Few miles up the road ther was a police focus on a slip road that i assumed was going to pull out after me to take there payment. but nothing. needless to say i set off every fixed camera just for fun.
I left Arnage on Monday morning around 07.30. Didnt see any plod on the way back at all. Only took me 3hours 18mins to get to Citi Europe. Took a detour up to AidenKirk as well for the Tobacco wharehouse. Made the 2pm ferry as well from Dunkirk.
This was my 1st La Mans and loved it. Defo not my last. Looking forward to next years

I was done and handed a 750 fine, I thought he said 75Euro's at first and handed it over. Nope 750! They didn't say a great deal, no mention of bad driving just said nice car, very fast yes?
I got a pic taken with the 2 chaps that took my license away. I asked if they had proof and said they had guns if I wanted to argue. :-) I took that to mean I was paying 750 euro's or not getting to keep my car.

That was mine mate you probably saw it outside the cop shop next to the peage - a metallic grey colour?
I'm seeing the beak second week in September - she's in jail for 10 weeks then hopefully we can bust her out of jail, thanks for the kind wishes

I was returning to the Autoroute North of Sees having visited a friend in the area and saw a forlorn looking GTR parked up in a police station, was that a PH'ers car? I hope it won't be abroad for too long.

Just thinking about it now i did see the guy in cammo. When i got escorted to the police station wondered what he was doing, but did'nt cross my mind at the time.
I didn't see him.....He was just after their usual haunt by the big bridge in the valley (where the bikes park on the slip road on the far side) just prior to the final bend before where rambo was sat I was sat at somewhere around 125-130, then thought I'd slow down before I passed the bend in to any oncoming cameras... Bit lucky!!
Also I was hammering it along in the outside lane before the Rouen turning (the sat navs still haven't caught on to that!) and had to give it some welly to get back across the 5 lanes - straight in to a mobile camera. I expected to be pulled over but luckily no-one appeared!
very kind for the offer but mine is Monday Sept 6th in Alencon - i'm bringing a friend who can drive me back as i fully expect to receive some kind of ban

I got done on the way down doing 172kph funnily enough.. Got fined 90 euros which by the sounds of it was pretty lucky
You were very lucky. Just north of Alencon on the way back I got the 135eur fine and my license taken for only 154kph (downgraded from an apparent 163kph). Just before me, in the same pull-in, an Aston, BMW and Tuscan all got the big one and were escorted to the bank. Thank goodness it's only speeding, and there are no stories of cars crashed on way back.....There was a time......
Also, amazingly, our convoy did see the police Pull a French car just after a toll, the man looked very sheepish, as we looked on from out sports cars and a pushed a Cerbie came into view.
Cheers
