Okay venom500 will save you a space! Jan has booked my passenger seat so the bumblebee will be resting at home.

We will be there about 11 ish, which last year meant about 1 p.m. after we had been for brunch in Arnage.

Meet between Indy and Arnage at 10/11am and then convoy down the Mulsanne straight. The ones that are interested could then go for a blat to La Chartre-sur-Le Loir for lunch.
Le Mans just gets better and better.

Can I follow someone else to La Chartre-sur-Le Loir though please because I dont know the way!

(Tony996HG, if you know the way I'll be following from a distance. Im relatively stone chip free and keeping it that way!).

No probs we normally head down around lunchtime, after a few tours of the track and Mulsanne/Indianapolis.

Hopefully this works...

Directions

It's an easy route, just one road all the way, it's just finding the Le Mans end that is the tricky bit.

just got back from a weekend in Le Mans watching the GP... the local boys with radar traps were out in force on Mulsane straight and also approaching Indy Corner, so beware!

Can everyone who is going to be there between 10/11 keep an eye out for me and penelopepitstop please. We'll be in the red Griff (P1GRF), cheers.... it'll probably be more like 11 as I think we need to go and have a stroll in the pits first.

Am I right in thinking it's only 2 weeks to go now ?

I'll keep an eye out for you mate.
I'll be in a cosmos blue griff with PH stickers on its nose.

I meet you on the way up to BTaP last year. I was the one driving the Golf, not the short one in the Cupra

I hope the short one isn't taking his cupra to Le Mans....I couldn't keep up with it

I hope the french plod don't spoil the indy/arnage fun this year...they got all a bit strict last year as I recall. Mind you it was difficult to see what was going on at all once someone had launched 12 gallons of water into the Scoob as we drove past. <sheesh, hooligans at LM>

It all depends at what time the train leaving Pddinton arrives at Birmingham.

If you get off the ferry early then yes, you probably will. But I'd recommend setting up camp first and then come out for a look for everyone. Will be out most of the day as driving south for lunch.

You lucky lucky people .. I decided not to go this year but regretting the decision right now.

Hopefully Eurosport will have good coverage again.

When you all meet down at Arnage - will a few of you do nice burnout's : like I did 2 year's ago ... the crown sure did cheer the sight of a Griff 500 burning out - Mr classic car behind was not so impressed with my static and 30 mph rolling burnout.

Sure was fun though - hardly any tyre wear as it was wet at the time .. but not raining

i can't go either, my brother can't afford it and wont be tempted by me paying most of his costs either (as he knows i can't afford that!)

so he suggests i buy sky and we watch the eurosport coverage instead!!!

not quite the same but we hope to make a trip to les circuits des ramparts in order to make up for no le mans...

I bumped into Hugh Chamberlin a the weekend - he is running the two TVR's at Le Mans .. from what he said - I think we can expect good things from both TVR's.

They were testing on Tuesday at Snetterton as a final shakedown.

I'll be cheering them on - from Eurosport (& ITV are showing some..).

According to a post on another forum the road between the Porsche curves and the Mulsanne corner will be shut to the public from Wednesday onwards. If true, then a new meeting point will be needed.

It sounds like the main Mulsanne Straight will be open (as it is a major road) so that could be the alternative.
