First time Le Mans tips
Discussion
Just a few more things to do first time, but make note for future trips....
Get up the ferris wheel at night. Always a fantastic experience to look down on the Ford Chicanes and keep an eye on the pits. Sure I read somewhere that this is still by the chicances even if the fair has moved elsewhere.
Pay a visit to the museum. Don't get drawn into a Citypass lark which they will try and rope you in to. Just enjoy the history, only takes an hour or so to wander.
Be prepared for Saturday. Driving off or round the circuit to get some wine or cheese could see you at the back of a queue missing the race start. Get provisions in on Friday so you can nurse the hangover and prepare for the next.

Put your "lost card" and insurance phone numbers into your phone before you have to make the call. I had an interesting time talking to Eurostar once who had a similar number to my bank.peterz3

Take a cardboard poster tube with you in your rucksack.Plenty of giveaways on the Friday pitwalk and posters available with the Friday and Saturday editions of the local newspapers.
Good advice! I took a tube to Bonneville and managed to get two Speed Week event posters home which are both now framed, one in my office, other is in the sons bedroom.FartKong said:

Is there a 2015 guide? I've read through the 2014 guide (and pi$$ed myself at the socks story...) but I'd happily pay money for an up-to-date guide for this yearEverything - I mean everything you need to know is in there.
