PistonHeads at Le Mans 2012

Join as at Le Mans (or Silverstone) for some fantastic 24 hour racing

Le Mans?
Le Mans?
It's never too early to start talking about Le Mans, right? Hopefully not as annoying as Christmas items appearing in shops in late September or Easter eggs available in January, but we would still like to raise the subject of Le Mans 2012 while we hang on to the 'summer' of 2011.

The greatest 24-hour race of all time will take place on the 16th - 17th June 2012 and PH's pitch-a-tent perfectionist Brian at 1st-Tickets has opened the PistonHeads private campsite for reservations. As many of you will know, the PH private camping area makes your stay at Le Mans 24 far more comfortable than you might be used to thanks to the following features:

  • Full security fencing
  • 24-hour security patrols
  • Private toilets and showers
  • Private bar with 24-hour TV showing the race
  • Large reserved pitches, no need to rush to secure your space
  • Team talks from those racing at Le Mans

Pricing is yet to be announced, but as space within the private area is very limited we are offering you the chance to reserve a space today. Brian will contact you as soon as possible with final pricing and at this stage you can confirm your booking and arrange payment, or cancel your reservation if you so wish.

Or Silverstone?
Or Silverstone?
1st-Tickets can also book you onto any of the Le Mans campsites, so if you want to camp on your favourite site call Brian and he'll do the leg work for you. He's nice like that.

To see the PistonHeads/1st-Tickets Le Mans 2012 website, or to make your reservation click here.

Please note that we'll also be offering camping at Le Mans Classic 2012, so please watch this space for more information.

While we are on the subject of camping at 24-hour races, why not join us at the world's second-best 24-hour race (ahem), the Britcar 24? PistonHeads will have a private campsite at Silverstone later this month and it's not to late to join us and bask in the late summer sunshine. Best of all, we'll also have a Sunday Service within Silverstone (details to follow).

For more information on Britcar 24 see the previous articles here, here and here.

We look forward to seeing you under canvas soon.

WRONG!
Definitely right! Got accomodation booked over a month ago. Took some serious hunting, use of Google Translator and some trips to the bank for foreign draft cheques but it's all been worth while. It's never too early for LM plans.

Could you pass on the booking/contact details for the campsite?
Thanks

Just go to top right of this thread and click on 1st Tickets.

Then click on the Classic 2012 on the left.
Then on the "CLICK HERE".
Then on Register for the MB tickets.

Once you are registered (we have been registered and using Brian for a few years now!) you should hopefully get an e-mail from Brian with a booking form to print out & fill in and send in you deposit.
Less than 5 days after I sent that, I got a conformation letter from Brian with the booking Ref.

Once registered you can try calling and paying with a card, if Brian is available and not busy, but I sent the form with a cheque this time round.

I can't recommend Brian and 1st Tickets enough.
We faffed about with ACO membership in the past and it's just not worth it, Brian has always managed to get us what we want if we get in our booking early.

Posted the booking form and deposit back to Brian yesterday. PH stickers ordered too (I know it's early but they're half price), just hope they come off the doors OK as it's a lease car smile
