Best way to transport 3 kids and a wife...
Discussion
Having 3 young kids has effectively ruled out about 90% of nice cars that can be 'man maths'd' into being family cars due to the rear seats - Aston Rapide / DBS, Porsche Panamera, 911, Maserati Gran Turismo, even semi sensible stuff like Mercedes S-class AMG coupe.
So what's the best way to transport 3 kids, a wife and some luggage about, while still feeling like you're in something special without going 4x4?
The only things I can really think of are RS6 Avant, Porsche Taycan or some flavour of fast Tesla. (Not a BMW fan personally and usually not keen on Audi, RS6 aside)
Any other options?

Hmm, Anything is something of a compromise when relying on middle seat use - Especially as the children grow taller, you could be putting a "useful life" on the car, depending on how long you plan to keep it - In that regard, a bit of both may be a proposition.
A model X with 7 Seats would be a straight line rocket ship, and you've got the gull wing door bling factor too.

Does it need to be something fast, or something which would be thought of as "premium" with a nice interior etc.
There's the option of the Mercedes V-Class or a top end VW Caravelle which can transport large numbers of children around in to a pretty decent degree of comfort. There's no denying their van origins though....
In quite a few bigger cars it's possible to cram three car seats across the back seat even if the middle one has to be held in place with a seatbelt. Unless the OP has twins or triplets, it's fairly likely at least one child will be old enough to use an high back booster and seatbelt anyway. The right ones of these take up much less space than the seats for 0-3 year olds.
For another 7 seat option, is it possible to still get the 2 extra seats in the boot of an E-Class? Not sure which model variants can have them, but I suspect the children facing backwards in the boot would be sick long before the full performance of the faster models was used!
