powerful naturally aspirated v8 for £30k max

The quest to find a NASP car that doesn't drive anything like a NASP car but instead just like one with forced induction, but absolutely cannot be forced induction for reasons that are not clear continues then, I guess.
If you want brutal acceleration and instant throttle response the suggestion of an EV isn't a bad one actually. That's the only thing they're really any fun for.
Next, the quest to find a car that drives exactly like an EV but isn't an EV but is also not internal combustion....
STEAM!

I always love these threads with arbitrary and often contradictory rules. An utterly pointless endeavor for all involved.

in this case which supercharged engine offers a curve which likes to rev up. not a flat torque curve
My DMS-tuned Range Rover does that, revs out very nicely, producing about 650bhp near peak revs but not too much torque lower down so that it’s nice to drive at lower speeds.Turbinox said:

Ariel Atom 2.0 Honda VTEC Supercharged. If the 6.2 V8 in the MB 63 cars isn't floating your boat I'd suggest that you need to accept what you re looking for doesn't exist and you'll need to compromise somewhere?

Are you after naturally aspirated because of how mushy and horrible turbos feel?
If so consider supercharged too, all the upsides of forced induction with none of the driveability downsides of turbos.
never said I was choosing NA because the turbos are horrible, and I don't think they are horrible, I just wish a different car.
I explained what I was looking for in my first message. I then explained again for what quality I wanted NA and only NA. so I repeat I don't like the sound of a supercharger, the throttle response will never be the same either, and finally the power is not delivered in the same way: all production cars that I saw: e55k, xkr, xjr etc have the same kind of torque curve that I don't want (very low torque peak, flat, and falls early)
It sounds as though an Audi R8 Plus may be what you are after. High-revving, normally aspirated 5 litre V10 engine in a good chassis. If so consider supercharged too, all the upsides of forced induction with none of the driveability downsides of turbos.

last time I talked about the camaro ss 6.2 bva and I pointed out that I hadn't seen the 6.2 mb yet, I asked how it compared to the camaro which was "not so good" today today it's done, I saw the 63 amg in w211 form and I'm going to buy this car, or c63 pre facelift incredible engine!!!!! a lot of drama. what am I looking for
Good man. Was always the correct answer, assuming you're OK with the gearbox. The last of the great mass production NA engines before everything went forced. Hell of a soundtrack too.

Newer stuff delivers better figures for the top trumps boys, but the real engine men know the Mercedes M156 is a strong contender for peak internal combustion.
Shame it was always saddled with a cuckbox though.

He might tell himself it's "better" because it's all over 0.2 seconds faster that way. His friends might nod in agreement and point at figures showing that having it done for you is more efficient and faster, which is much better in their view

Or could it be for the driver that only wants one car but sits in commuter traffic every day so doesn’t fancy the slowmotion Irish dancing at 7.30 every morning? He might tell himself it's "better" because it's all over 0.2 seconds faster that way. He doesn't like all that tiring movement and gets more pleasure from having it done for him.Got it.
It's a tongue in cheek name for them, I've had plenty of cars with cucks.

A torque-converter automatic box suits the big AMG engine incredibly well. They can be awful on small, buzzy engines, but rarely are on a big V8.
