I got that the forum account was a shill but how do we know the advert is a fake? Have we heard of logic leasing before?
Because the advert posted was for a model discontinued 2 or 3 years ago. So it’s a 3 year lease on a 2nd hand car. It’s cheaper than a new car but it’s poor value. But by all means get a quote for the golf r. Would love to be proved wrong but as vw don’t currently sell a golf r estate I am confident it’s a used car.

Ah the one I saw was an Octy VRS. I'm off enough though by the suspicious behaviour! But by all means get a quote for the golf r. Would love to be proved wrong but as vw don’t currently sell a golf r estate I am confident it’s a used car.
Hi all,
Thanks for the previous help. I just had one question that I wasn’t sure who to reach out to with.
I’m looking at these two options:
https://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/car-l...
And this:
https://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/car-l...
The first one is £335 for my payment options and the other one is £381 for the same payment options. What am I missing? Why is there such a difference. Only difference I see is MY22 - any idea what it means? It’s cheaper by quite a lot.

Chances are by the time you phone up neither will be that price anyway. Just make sure they confirm what model year it is in writing before signing up to anything.
That being said, in the good old days you would often get amazing offers on the new model because they wanted to get them out on the road asap. I signed up the the famous 2016 A4 deal and got a Pug 5008 on the day it was launched without even driving one because the deal was so good!

I see Vauxhall has dropped the prices of some of its EVs by £3000 in line with changes to grants. I will stop myself from commenting on the pricing racket of EVs but hope for the VW ID poster above that all will follow.
I still think over the next 3-5yrs an ICE will remain the cheaper option even with fuel costs.

I pay £250 a month for the lease on my electric car doing 8k miles a year. This includes maintenance.I still think over the next 3-5yrs an ICE will remain the cheaper option even with fuel costs.
In my petrol car it cost £1600 of fuel a year.
In my electric car it costs £100 of fuel a year.
If you can charge at home overnight you will save thousands. If relying on public chargers there is likely no saving to be had currently.

Why don’t you replace the petrol car ?In my petrol car it cost £1600 of fuel a year.

Looking at it simply to replace my daily runaround would need to be at 220 pm 8k miles incl maintenance, preferably for an estate. Otherwise it's costing me money. BTW to get to 220 have included a couple of big garage bills.
Nearest I can get is 270 is for a Chinese MG over 4 years. No maintenance included either. So Nope.
Opening it up to SUV / Crossover types nearest can get is stuff where the loadspace is just too small, but let's ignore that for a second, again over 4 years, Mazda MX30 271 pm, or Kia E-Niro 372 pm.
Again for those figures the upfront fees and payments have been amortised into the monthly figure. Again maintenance not included because cba to get the additional figures.

Not as simple as he's making out though. The numbers just don't stack up unless you're also making some significant saving in other areas eg BIK. Then there is the question of whether there's actually a suitable vehicle.

But it is that simple, I save £1500 a year on fuel. I can either use this to get a better electric car for the same price as a petrol car or I can just pocket the savings.Looking at it simply to replace my daily runaround would need to be at 220 pm 8k miles incl maintenance, preferably for an estate. I just go on leasing.com or lease loco and find what electric cars are reasonably priced, then go on whatcar and identify which dealers would be supplying the brokers and go direct to them and don’t pay the stupid broker fees.
Whether it’s electric or petrol the other fees are comparable (insurance etc) so the saving is the saving.
