It's for sale by a man called Helmut Gassmann.

I do like this: Blue

I know I only pop in and out of PH these days when I can't face doing work but it is always a real shame when people leave.
Hopefully you'll find another group of randomly aged men to talk about larger engined saloon cars with.

All the best.

Was pretty tempted by this Cayenne Turbo

Seems to have had money spent, few minor issues, cheaper tax. Top of thread.

Just a quick post to say goodbye to threadists on the best thread on the forum. It's been a pleasure knowing you the last decade or so, particularly meeting up and in a couple of cases buying cars, and I do hope the whole Barge ethos does manage to continue against the current headwinds that all cars face, particularly the large and profligate ones that we so love.

Given what PH and it's membership have become I think I need to break the habit of coming on here and goading the endless supply of red faced angry bitter fkwits that now populate the place, there are enough of them I cannot avoid dealing that to then spend what should be recreational time with them is just too much, I've only really been sticking around for this thread. If I ever miss the rest of PH I'll watch some re-runs of Harry Enfield's "considerably richer than yawww" sketches and reminisce.

I'm also deleting rather than abandoning my account so it's harder for future people to find all my posts and realise what a bellend I am.

All the best guys! (This was Stickleback123 for when it changes the poster name to anonymous)
So long and thanks for all the fish Stickle! Hopefully see you again for stickleback124

That could be either a genuine bargain or something you'd be annoyed at buying off a person leaving the country.
Shame it's a bit Knight Rider on the outside.

A pity you're leaving S123. I enjoyed your contributions. I hope we bump into you at a gathering in the future. Happy barging!

“Brake booster faulty”.

No idea if that makes it a death trap, last service >12 months ago. You’d want to offer fk all.

Doesn't affect the brakes apparently...

Serious note though, it's done 7k since the last service (maybe), in reality how much is the oil going to degrade in a couple of years? Genuine question as all cars are supposed to be serviced every X miles or annually but does modern oil really start to degrade irrespective of heat cycles / being smashed around a metal hellscape?

Another one bites the dust. .. what a shame. I'd say the thread has generally stayed above the kind of rancour you see on other threads/forums, and has picked up a little over the past week or two. Your musings were never dull and will be missed.

Agreed, also brake booster probably not that hard to fix. If owner really is emigrating there's a possibility to get this very cheap.

Does a £3k R129 SL320 count as a barge?

I really like these cars, but for something like this I don't think silver is a great colour. Before I got the M3 I was tempted by this one

Cars with a dark/royal(?) blue colour are, I think, very stylish.

It's a bit like having a marina full of white yachts and then this dude turns up in a yacht with a dark blue painted hull. Just stands out and people look and think 'thats nice'. Nothing over the top , just smart and stylish, nothing to prove.

Dunno, I'm glad he's gone*.

* I'm not really. He was a fun poster who added a lot. I'm one of the losers that managed to flog him a car as well so we've actually met. So long SB123, and maybe you can rejoin when the time feels right.

Yeah what CdeG said. I always knew we were in for a treat of ascerbic observation or insight with an SB123 post.

Two year service intervals on all Cayennes or 20K miles. The brake booster is mega complex & will give an EML on the dash.

Like busses. Although quite why you'd need to pay double to get black I don't quite know.
