That’s really good of them sorting the deal for you.

I assume that’s without maintenance?
Yes I’d have been a bit gutted to pay that much more - although it was a decent deal at the time.

No that doesn’t include maintenance - I’ll see if I can get away with 2 services...

My lease on a Leon ST is coming to an end soon and we're now looking for a 7 seater SUV for our family but having a hard time finding deals, even for 1 yr old. Were thinking either a decently specced Kodiaq, or perhaps XC90 (Taraccos boot space in 7bseat config seems too small for our large dog) but most are in excess of £600. Has anyone come across a decent deal as of late?
Think hard about your 7 seat requirements; in the suvs; if you have two isofix car seats you will not be able to fold the seat forward to get access to the third row plus the 3rd row is normally cramped without isofix unless going XC90 size. I accepted a lease deal wasn’t going to emerge on a big 7 seat family wagon at £300 a month so bought a 3 year old Sharan on PCP that costs the amortised equivalent of £300 per month.

Looks like a poor deal to me compared to the hatchback offers, it’s got the lowest powered engine - 136BHP, it isn’t the premium pack ( so this will have the small screens and no ambient lighting etc etc ) and has no maintenance.

For £14 ish pm more amortised I got a A250 ( 220 BHP ) premium pack ( larger screens, ambient lighting, heated seats, self parking etc etc ) inc full maintenance ( merc servicing is very expensive - £250 for a minor and £400 for a major service )
Hi Dan, do you have contact & details of the deal you got on the A250 please?

Anyone recommend some lease friendly VW dealers as our local dealer (Martins Basingstoke) won’t even talk lease.
Ideally looking for a Tiguan DSG on a 3+24 for £300 but can’t find much under £340/mth

Seems like the T-Roc and T-Cross have given Vw an excuse to push the Tiguan prices up

It was found on whatcarleasing and the dealer is Perth Mercedes - who have been fantastic to deal with .

Some of the other guys hadn’t mentioned the the deal had been taken off whatcarleasing but that Perth Mercedes we’re still offering it, I wouldn’t know though as I was one of the first to get a quote off them.

My cheapo Arteon was supplied by Marshalls of Newbury, which is pretty local to you.

Looking for decent deals on SUVs capable of towing horse boxes. Currently have a 2017 S3 Saloon.

Tiguan R Line, Velar R-D SE, F Pace R-D, new Q3 in Vorsprung trim or Q5 Sline etc, something along those lines.

Ask to speak to Dominic Betteridge in the fleet team at Martins Basingstoke. He deals with all the leases and is usually very competitive with price vs other dealers. I imagine you got one of the regular sales guys who are only interested in PCPs.

I finally decided to go for a Stelvio from Beechdale but after passing finance they advised they are now all sold! As an aside can I ask if the credit check performed on the finance affect my future credit?

No worries mate, not surprised the standard sales guys at VW gave you the impression they don’t do leasing there, if they can’t sell you a PCP they aren’t interested I’m afraid.

My current PCH (a 7.5 gti) was all done through Steve Dear (RIP) via Martin's Basingstoke. Mr Betteridge is his successor.

I'm a long time lurker, so first I would like to thank everybody whose advice and input has made this such a valuable source of information.

I already have a van on lease, so know the process.

However we're now after a diesel estate on 3 years at 15k miles - cheap is fine as it's a run around but don't want to go poverty spec! My other half will have this car, and she's coming from a 2016 Fabia SE L 90 so she's not too fussed about power as long as it's comfortable...and not white!!

Best I have found for her is this:

SEAT Leon Diesel Sport Tourer, 1.6 TDI SE Dynamic 115, maintained on a 9 + 35 @ £213.60.

Add in sunroof, towbar and spare wheel and this jumps to £252.46.

I would prefer a bit more oomph but nothing else comes anywhere near.

Any advice?
